Saints just have way too many of the same type of player. There is very little x factor at all. If i was a saints fan i would be concerned about the direction they are heading imo, richardson will get some heat soon if they continue down the same middle of the road path.

You have to love all the media and social media about "how the mighty have fallen and how fast they've fallen" but nothing is ever said about shit clubs like saints and Melbourne dishing up the same shit year in year out even with top draft picks

Why would anyone want to support such loser clubs

I mentioned a few weeks ago about how everyone bags Richmond for 35 years of nothing (rightly so)
God I'd hate to be a Saints fan
Thankfully my old man chose Hawthorn when he came to Australia from Ireland in the 50's!

If l played for Melbourne, was captain, then married, had kids, the first thing l'd buy them would be a Hawthorn jumper.

Not to your usual standard Oz but instead of having a go a me for being captain obvious and lets be straight up, you can throw cheap shots over the fence at me but in truth Hill was leaving or making noise to the such for up to 18 to 24 months out. Now if he was rated so highly internally at the club, one would have thought to put in place some solid contingencies, Hartung (struggler) and Henderson (average player at best) weren't going to cut the mustard.
I have never once tried to play talent spotter on this or tried to make out that I'm Clarko / Wrighty 2.0 but I do reserve the right to make comment on what I see as being until now an oversight akin to being asleep at the wheel.

Sorry I touched a nerve that showed you to softer than your butch online persona.

My old man is a Saints supporter, wasn't happy when I choose to follow the Hawks as a kid.

I agree, but they start off as good.
The Saints seem to have a black hole where their high draft picks disappear and then come out average players.

They probably do still have lots of fun at the nightclubs though.

One of my earliest memories of VFL is sitting in the lounge room listening to the 1966 Grand Final on the radio, and recall when Breen kicked that behind to put the Saints in front. As a kid, you always tend to jump on the bandwagon of the top team, so I imagined I was a St.Kilda supporter. Thank eternity that I saw Peter Hudson play after that and became a Hawks fan instead. How lucky was that!!??

How about St Kilda. They'll likely be equal on points with Hawthorn by the end of the round. So much for St Kilda's talented list being much better than ours. :$:thumbsu:
One think you learn about St.Kilda is never to take them too seriously. They may tease their fans win a string of wins, but if you wait long enough, it's inevitable they'll turn to crap. Having said that, they were unlucky the goal umpire was barracking for Geelong in the 2009 GF.

This is the typical game where all the Crows' frontrunners fire. St Kilda are shooting their own selves in the foot. They're either very hot or very cold and tonight they're very cold.
I switched off when Lynch took an uncontested mark in the pocket and kicked a goal to put them 3 goals up. I thought if the Saints didn't care, why should I?

The phrase that keeps going through my mind is the one by Leather Poisoning.

Bog average.
It's true. They think they're on the road to glory. Richo taking them nowhere. Bunch of high draft picks that will only thrice in 5 years when a new coach takes over.

Melbourne fans have every reason to get excited. Another decent forward (on top of hogan - get well soon!) and they'll have all the building blocks they need.

Next year carton will bypass thesaints.
