Meanwhile, some of us are denied the right to name a partner as next of kin through marriage.

Think on that while you resolve your pissing contest about moderation on a bloody forum.
It's not an argument about forum moderation. It's a discussion about allowing room for disagreement over a contentious issue. This issue is personally important to you. I understand that well. That personal importance, as strong as it is, does not invalidate debate and disagreement.

The fact that this issue has absolutely nothing to do with football, is highly emotional and prone to inflammatory escalation is exactly why the AFL should not engage with it. People are either hurt or written out of the conversation or both. And that, too, is wrong.

I'm happy to check out of Big Footy over this. I know you will miss me far less than I will miss you. I imagine many of you will say, "Good riddance." Interestingly, I haven't even staked out a position on this. I've merely pointed out the disturbing nature of this debate and it's attempt to silence and ostracise.

Anyway, I'll take feedback as regards to my longevity here.

I hope that you don't leave, I enjoy your input - I do find it odd that you are dragging up the debate again after stating yesterday that you wanted to be discussing footy here. If you have an issue with the moderator comments on a closed thread then you could have addressed it in a private message. You have just dredged up a debate that a moderator had asked people to take elsewhere yesterday.

my daughter wants to see the Emoji movie tonight
at least I get popcorn
tomorrow my wife has organised some kids fishing thing to go to
i cannot find any upside to that event, hopefully the crows get up tonight to carry my through that one
As someone who runs a meme account - the idea of the Emoji Movie makes me want to get violent. I look forward to using my kids as the excuse to see Pixar films - but sitting through something like the Emoji Movie is a testament to the infinite patience that would be required to parent kids. My thoughts are with you.

I am just a newbie nobody on BF, but I like your contributions O-J. Hope you don’t bail out. The decision of the Mod decision to write an inflammatory postscript was perplexing, particularly in the context of the reasons for closing the thread (and I am in favor of the two substantive issues the mod was supporting).

But what’s done is done. On with tonite’s show.

I am going to the pub to try and get these %^&* Crows over the line. I think Chris Scott’s team selection reeks of desperation and fear. “Cockatoo has got the nod despite only managing 65 minutes of game time since Round 13.” (HS)
