Classic. I love the thin skins here. Very brave when you've got your pack of nodding heads, quick to run when it's all to hard. No worries. Build your little cove of people just like you. Make this board about Hawthorn about something other than Hawthorn and then cry when it's all too much.

Profiles in courage, each one of you.

Bring back Clarko’s cluster!

I guess the theory is there will be a greater area for teams to defend, which would therefore open up the play. I think really they are just desperate to try and get rid of the rugby mauls that happen inside the 50’s. Expect Sicily to take the majority of our kick outs if introduced....

To be honest I was just laughing at the Herald Sun for telling us that Dustin Fletcher thought it might be a good idea and some time in the past. Just a random pointless inclusion to the story that no one gives a shit about...why was it in there?
Sorry, but I still don't get it...

Can't players kick goals from anywhere? If so, who gives a f**k where you draw the lines?

The goal square has next to no significance for the attacking team (other than when a mark is taken - they kick from straight in front).

What am I missing?

of corse the AFL in their infinite wisdom ignore the fact that any rule change will just move the congestion. you will see the game revert back to ultra flooding. instead of having 36 players within the 50, it will push them between the arcs to allow them an easier time to get back. then we will get another rule change that increases the goalsquare, and before you know it, a kick in will be a shot at goal.

want to fix the game? revert to old rules! penalising a player who clears a pack with a big kick that unfortunately goes out of bounds is detrimental. why should teams keep players back and spread to the wings when they can conserve energy and get a free? it also rests the players as they dont have to sprint as far to the next contest.
quick kick-in rule also stopped teams setting up for the kick. now all they do is form a pack and wait for a kick. the quick kick in also made it beneficial for teams to rush a behind.

the umpires also take way too long to blow the whistle. go back 20 years and as soon as a tackle stuck, the whistle was blown. now they circle the pack, and give the teams time to get to the contest. quick whistle = less congestion

It's scary that it's still so hostile in the world of sport in 2018. No wonder none of the gay players are coming out. It's terrible and we need to work on breaking down these barriers as fans.
given ive grown up in the LBGT community (my brother who is 15 years older than me is gay), one thing is clear. the reaction from the media and politicians on any social issue is not what that group wants. they do not want to be held up as some pinnacle of social justice. they literally just want to be treated normally.
Even now, a family friend is really struggling after coming out (shes just turned 18). People are tiptoeing because they dont want to offend her, and shes feeling more isolated than she ever has.

So the Tiges turn it on for 5 mins and stitch it up.

Now to put the cue in the rack, put the handbaggers back in the game, and keep em in the finals.

Been dwelling on the quandry that is, who do I want making up the 8? Handbaggers, Swines, Scum, Tassie Roos? Absolutely hate the first 3, merely hope the roos get washed away and forgotten the next time it rains. Spose the holy trinity for me would be seeing the scum come so close and miss in 9th, handbaggers in 10th and swines fade and fail to make the conversation any which way.
