I reckon he is ok. Battling manfully but the barrage has been relentless, the tigers just swarm so well in their own forward half.

Ablett is just about cooked and Dangerfield and Selwood have got a lot of the pill but have been largely ineffective, especially danger, who seems to have been drinking his own bath water. His disposal has been atrocious.
You could make a valid case that their best mid is Kelly.

Umps letting so much go in this game. the blatant dropped balls and incorrect disposal. Wonder if nbr 3 geelong player (Parfitt?) will get cited for the head slam tackle?
Looks like Hawkin's spell has been broken. i don't see richmond allowing him to cut loose with a bag in this last.

Sorry, but I still don't get it...

Can't players kick goals from anywhere? If so, who gives a f**k where you draw the lines?

The goal square has next to no significance for the attacking team (other than when a mark is taken - they kick from straight in front).

What am I missing?
Mate I was just hanging shit on the Herald Sun!

But anyway, the idea is for the defending team, not the attacking team. It’s for when you are kicking in after a point. The “attacking” team presses up into a zone to lock the ball inside their 50/get repeat entries with all their players in 1/3 of the ground.

If the player kicking in after a behind can kick from 20 metres out instead of 10 metres out, they should be able to kick it into the middle of the ground/out to the wings. There is a greater area for the pressing team to defend, so in theory this extra space would help with transitioning the ball out of defense after a behind...spread out the players.

This has been an atrocious game of football for mine, Richmond's get it forward at all costs play goes into overdrive in the wet and it's incredibly ugly. Geelong have looked slow of foot and mind.

So it's a typical cats game then?
