Had to laugh at Petrie saying he hates players who "squeal and make a big deal out of nothing" (referring to the Porkins hit on Davis).

The Irony is strong with that one...

I don't care that the dogs are getting credit, they have done well but it is amazing the contrast in running commentary between us and them.

Losing players off half back is one things but losing your CHF and Hodge is another on top of losing 3 seniors players at the end of last year, I really don't think Hawthorn is getting enough credit up to this point of the year.

Previous success has clouded peoples judgement, they just expect Hawthorn to be winning every game because they have won 3 on the trot but this is a different team now, Hale, Lake, Suckling, Hodge, Rough and other senior players (Mitch, Gibbo, Cyril, Frawley, Sheils, Hill) missing at different times have been replaced by TOB, Sicily, Ceglar, Howe, O'Rourke, Brand, Lovell and Stewart, to be 8-3 is a very good result.

Just look at how the ass has completely fallen out of Freo with injuries to key personnel.
This is arse in Oz. An Ass is an animal. I hate Americanisms

I was thinking the same thing.
The Fat Ballerina would regularly try act like a tough guy around the much smaller Stratton and would often jumper punch him when he could.
This all stopped one day when Lake took exception to what the fat man was doing to Strats and went all wrestle mania on him.
The only noticeable act he has done against the Hawks since this day was get his name on the team sheet.
Funny you should say this; I did register the Overrated-Overcelebrator trying to throw his weight around once again in our round one clash this year.
The fact Lakey was absent was not lost on me at the time.
Weak pr!ck.

Are we playing mind games with regards to hodgeys comeback. Looks to be in full training and would be an absolute asset for the game against north whereas he isn't really needed against the gold coast and gets a weeks rest after that game.

Oh boy, do I agree with that! I hate "Quarterback", since when did we have that position? Commentators now use Deeeeeefence, or Offfffffffence. I thought we had attack or defend. More and more Americanisms creeping into our game. Let's fly the American flag:rolleyes:

The QF in 2014 speaks volumes for the above. Hawkins had one last go at Lake but seen the look of death in Lake's eyes.
Needless to say Hawkins went to water after that. It was the night he kept dropping marks. Lake's biatch was scared that night!

I didn't get 7hd either, (channel 70) as it comes up as a radio station?
I get the sound but not the picture, and I live in the Western suburbs of Melbourne
This is probably because your TV needs a firmware update to receive the new HD channels. They changed format to MPEG4 for the new HD channels and a lot of older TVs can't decode it without a firmware upgrade. MY TV was too old to get a firmware upgrade as it was greater than 7 years old. The way around it is to buy a set top box and it will allow your existing TV to receive the new channel.

Thank you for that advice. The aerial is possibly 25 to 30 years old? I have been here since hubby passed away in 1997. I moved from the farmlet to city in 1998. This house was built in 1989 I think, so that aerial has been here since then.It could well be the Rf cable. I have several brand new RF cables, never used. It could well be the aerial. Except for one channel, C7, are all pathetic:oops:
It sounds like Antenna. The different-lengthen bars on your antenna receive different frequencies so it is possible for one channel to be worse than others if the relevant bar is worse (or the source signal is weaker). Also check with your neighbours to see if they have the same issues.

I updated my firmware after the C7 HD was introduced. It hasn't made any difference to my reception.
I'll talk to my neighbours. I know my son in Geelong has the same problem as me. He has a brand new 68cm UHD? tv, and he still has the same problem as me, and I live 3.30 hrs away. Surely others have this problem too. Give me my CRT tv back any day..:)

We are obsessed with them mate, all so desperate to emulate what happens in the NFL and NBA, I love American sports but I love our game for what it is, not for what it is trying to be

Being at the halfway mark of the season there is lots of talk at the moment about selections for the All Australian team. While such things bore me to tears I do notice a distinct lack of Hawks players in these teams... augers well for a Fourthorn :thumbsu:
