Not sure why you quoted me with that response though?

Totally agree, just the guys that play should get the medallion
Lowers the value of the Premiership medal IMHO
Suppose I was just having a three way chat, starting by agreeing with last person first.
Ahh spagett about it.

It is very tough to understand all the buddy hate. He left for whatever reasons but we have also picked up/traded. Can we say all the players came here for the right reasons?
It may have something to do with the reports of him talking to Sydney shortly after we lost to them in 2012. (and the pathetic compo from the AFL didn't help)

The scary thing is, if buddy actually went to GWS they would have won the premiership this year and probably the next few. He done us a favor!
IMO had Buddy gone to the Giants they would be years away from contending. Mummy only left the Swans because of salary cap pressure due to Buddy's signing. Mummy has been much more influential for the Giants; previously they have collapsed when he is injured, a bit like Suns and GAJ. Having an A grade ruck, who is very handy around the ground, and who lays fierce tackles has helped their midfield immensely.

Morerover Giants would be under even more salary cap pressure as their cap and list have to be reduced. More of their stars would have left for big dollars elsewhere like Boyd and Treloar. Now players are staying for the chance of multiple premiership glory.

For the compo we should hate the AFL. Talking to Sydney should be called planning ahead. Have not been into Omeara all year and more.

Did they also have their managers negotiate a contract behind the scenes that made it impossible for us to force a trade? Before he left, his loyalty was already to his new club - not the one he kept protesting to love so much.

Look at how Dangerfield left th Crows to learn how you can leave a club and not be a complete campaigner when doing it.

I've always said - never had an issue with him leaving - I will never forgive him for how he left.

I think Dangerfield is the gold standard on how to leave a club. (Edit... OK maybe Judd too under different circumstances of course)
Buddy is not...

Was watching the game from Fed Square. The Bulldogs supporters went crazy everywhere :).

The tram driver needs to tell them to stay safe on the tram, like "well done to the doggies but keep your head and hand inside the tram please".

Feel sorry for swans supporters but seems like they feel this time is not as bad as the 2014.

Just got home from the game. What a great day. Almost as good as a Hawthorn flag - actually, not even close - but still bloody good.

The weather held back the rain and no wind chill so really got to enjoy my seat. The game was entertainingly close all the way to the end before blowing out a little to really rub it in the faces of the Swines.

Not sure about JJ winning the NS. Tom Boyd, Bontempeli or even JPK all played clearly better games. Great gesture from Bevo to give his medal to Bob. Kind of thing I reckon Clarko would've done if Crawf hadn't made it through to the GF in 2008 (which he almost didn't).

Going off to induldge in some sodium dihydrogen monoxide on the Swines board. Just got to love Buddy leaving us "to win more premierships". Since he's left we're 2/2 and he's 0/2. And by this time next year we'll be 3/3.

Which is why I don't understand the Dangerfield hatred on here. Sure, he plays for Geelol, but that he wanted to ensure Adelaide got compensated was classy.
Dangerfield is a fantastic footballer (playing for a crap club though...)
The way he handled himself in 2015 was superb. (And he did right by Adelaide)

And we would have got a much sweeter trade organised rather than the b.s. free agency compo, take that to the bank

Rules are framed by AFL. We could have matched to force a trade. We didn't and are better off because he left.

Reminder. Franklin is a 2x Premiership Hero for our great club.

So what if he decided to play footy where he was spending every second weekend anyway...we've taken our fair share of players from other sides.
Terry Wallace is a 3 time premiership player. Doesn't stop him copping it on here time and time again (and for good reason).

Happy to celebrate Bud as a 2 X Premiership Hawk.
Still , do not think how he left was right.

Not sure what you mean by our fair share of free agents??
We have certainly dealt for our fair share of players though...(more to come hopefully)
