Honestly, this whinging about the umpiring? I thought the umps were great...
Yep, same here. 3 or 4 decisions that could be questioned over the entire game, but they did a good job.

Seriously, I have just about reached the point where I am fed up with all the umpire bashing on this forum and it is getting me down.

Which is why I don't understand the Dangerfield hatred on here. Sure, he plays for Geelol, but that he wanted to ensure Adelaide got compensated was classy.
I think his FIGJAM attitude might have something to do with that.

and two or three Dogs sliding into legs, including putting Hannebery out of the game.
I don't think sliding is the correct description. Hanneberry's maybe, nut the first one I believer the doggie player was trying to pick up the ball. Anyway, it's just another rule to go in the "50 Shades of Gray," A.F.L. rule book.

Like "Holding the Ball" and "Incorrect Disposal"... It has become a bit of making it up as you go along

So what if the umpiring was dodgy (or not). It soon gets forgotten. And nothing is ever changed either.

I'd like to see incorrect disposal paid once again though.
Incorrect disposal is a joke. I still stand by the only way a player should be able to release the ball is via a kick or handball. Otherwise they should be responsible for ball security, ball gets knocked free that is incorrect disposal and the only thing that can save them when they are caught with it is no prior opportunity.

There is nothing worse than seeing a player conveniently drop the ball in the path of or sometimes times even hand the ball to a passing teammate. It infuriates me. But apparently it is ok because it was knocked out in the tackle. Like hell it was. Players pick and choose when it gets knocked out in a tackle.

And people are well within their rights to be reminded that Franklin has done more for this club then any of the people slating him from behind a keyboard.
Some agree with you, some don't...its part of life's rich tapestry.
2 x Premiership legend... we agree.
The rest... not so much.
But life goes on.

Wanted Sydney to win more because I can't stand that ducking campaigner McLean from the dogs.
Still not too fussed with the result though, despite the dogs having a good, young team don't think they will trouble next year. No objective reasons but just an inkling

Still can't get over what an ordinary player Stringer is. By far the most overrated player in the league. He should give HIS medal to Murphy. Ok he kicked a goal but for a while I thought he was going to lose the game for them.
Would have to be one of the most overrated players in the A.F.L. Three of his first kicks, maybe his first three were all out on the full. I can't understand why all the commentators (specially Taylor) say he's the complete package.

Parcel at best. More likely an envelope...
