It's ominous. If he is successful the repercussions could, baring in mind we don't know the specifics of the case, could be huge.
From what I've read, the crux of his case revolves around informed consent.

Quoted from The Age

.....claimed Mr Blackney and Dr Bradshaw had failed to:

* discuss the treatment options available for Egan's navicular stress fracture;

* inform Egan of the risk involved in having an operation on his foot;

* inform Egan that even with an operation, there was "virtually no prospect" of him playing football within the month following surgery;

* inform Egan the average return time to sport following surgery was five months;

* inform Egan there were considerable risks of undergoing surgery and the rehabilitation program.

That is some bad doctoring if that is true. Strange it has taken so long to come to light.

Would be a travesty if Buddy won the Brownlow considering he didn't win it after kicking over 100 goals in the regular season in 2008.
Especially when neither of Dunstall, Lockett or Ablett Snr did. How the hell Scott Wynd won the medal in 92 is so beyond me. How much better was Dunstall than absolutely anyone that year.

I heard an interesting stat/fact on the radio this afternoon. Since we've had the current final eight system apparently no team who has been beaten by a bottom four team has won the premeirship. Both Sydney and Freo have been beaten by bottom four teams. Another stat I heard a while ago is that no team who has been beaten by 100 points or more in the home and away season has won the premiership. Geelong has been beaten by over 100 points. So that just leaves us, Port and all the also rans...the premiership is our folks!!!! :thumbsu: :D

That's all Hh. We will have to earn it, and we can, and will. Clarko has the blue prints.

I don't think a team that was beaten in round 1 has ever gone on to win a premiership under this system either. We broke that one last year.

Lockettt did win a Brownlow though. 1987 from memory, joint with Platten

Could someone please shed some light on which player holds the distinction for most losses in a Grand Final?
Pretty sure it's a Collingwood player from memory, Len Thompson with 5 or something like that.

There would be a few with 4 from the Geelong sides of the late 80s and 90s. G Ablett Snr, Brownless, G Hocking etc

Zac Dawson is getting up there. What's he up to, 4 GFs without a win??

If Jimmy thinks he did not dive after 99% of the media and public thought he took a dive he is either an idiot or in denial, I suspect both given their delusion of greatness at the Cattery.
The art of being a good footballer is to keep your feet. He either exaggerated the contact or age has diminished his footy competance.

Lets be honest Jimmy - we all remember in the 08 Grand Final when you mistakenly thought your acting skills had got you a free kick - Cyril went on to goal from that incident - come now Jimmy, you must remember that one.

You've been doing it for years Jimmy, Amusing that only you think you didn't take a dive and that everyone else is wrong

Jimmy, Joel & Johnson take delusions of grandeur to an altogether higher level than has ever been hitherto imagined!....Without these 3 clowns staging, whingeing & whining tactics the Cats would not even be top 4 this season.....It has only been via the umpiring fraternity that has seen them get there!

It's time for the umpiring department to wake up to what all other football supporters are all too painfully aware of.....This mob is a pack of cheats!

There's only one comparison I can think of that bears a resemblance!

Must be the name, "Jimmy" that is letting me down. Two Jimmies have gone from being close to the top of my favourite non Hawk players, to being now in my top most hated players. This has come, not from their actual on ground acts, but form the arrogant way they have tried to defend errors that are so obvious.
