At the risk of starting up a mud-flinging contest between thylacine60 and passmark....

What's the ground like? There are a couple of basic stands? Can you head to one of the adjacent ovals for a kick-to-kick after the game (or during if we're playing like crap). There'll be some food stalls open, I presume...

EDIT: Is there a nearby market selling doughnuts?
Just do what ill do on the day fb, get to the Preston Market in the morning, grab a dozen, wrap them in a thermo blanket and head down!:p

A few of my mates play golf down in Cranbourne. But to me a golf course is yet another reason to bypass the area....
Golf is a good walk spoiled .... Mark Twain

Unfortunately, I rarely find the urge to walk 10kms in a zigzag pattern for 5 hours in the heat of the day without golf clubs in tow.

I went down a few years back. There's one very basic stand, which houses the coaches boxes, the rooms and player races, as well as an adjoining structure under which there is standing room and a little canteen selling footy favourites (which now, regrettably, includes coffee).

Other than that the ground is very, very open. No other seating. Sheltered standing room on the outer wing.

Casey Fields! Isn't that in Cranbourne? Cranbourne and Tooradin are places you only head through on the way to the beaches. Now they have built Eastlink you don't even need to do that.
Unkind..have you visited the Cranbourne Botanic Gardens ... stunning

Tooradin, sneeze and you miss it, take the koo wee rup by pass

Blackburn United EPL ... sorta
Cranbourne
Ranked: 243
Previous rank: 263

Cranbourne is a consistently low performer on this list. Its highest scores are for shops, the size of the area’s cultural sector and for public open space, being home to the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne. Where it is let down most is in terms of crime, followed by a lack of schools and dining options.

..... lovely place .... ranks well in the top Melbourne suburbs list lol ....

I can honestly say I have never been to the gardens. About 20 years ago on my way to a wedding at the Island I stopped off at Macca's and saw the biggest brawl. That was enough for TL. Cranbourne does not make my top 5 scariest suburbs in Melbourne list but I don't get out there very often.
