Danger what I wanted for the new stadium was the same opportunity for my boys that I had growing up in Melbourne. Each week a group of us would go to a game at the"G" and you could just pay and walk in.I miss that greatly.
I used to do the same at Waverly, would get dropped out the front, walk in, find a seat and watch footy, I'm pretty sure it was $2.

Those were the days.

On the new Perth Stadium, Adam Gilchrist mentioned just before that the GOV were looking in to making any Scorchers final held there have a capacity of 40,000 due to concerns with traffic and congestion's it would be a week day.

Am i missing something here? What muppets build a stadium or anything for that matter then do something like that? If the infrastructure around the ground can't cope with the ground being 3/4 full then you have done it wrong.
There are two things that have caused this.

1: the new footbridge that is expected to cater for up to 14,000 supporters is not ready.
2: the game will start at 4.40pm on a weekday which is bang in the middle of peak hour.

I have seen a lot of people comment on this and claim it would never happen in Melbourne. But how many big bash games or AFL games have started at 4.40pm on a weekday in Melbourne.
