I guess there's a shot of jezza or big nick that doesn't have serge hanging about like a lygon street paperboy............somewhere...........
This would make a great statue at the MCG.

Boo hoo Brad! Be thankful that you’ve still got a home ground advantage.

What a tosser....hypothetically, if we finished on top of the ladder in a few years after the home and away, and Richmond finished 4th.....would we bitch and moan that the final was being played at the G rather than Docklands??

So injured Collingwood midfielder Brayden Sier took to a local basketball court on Monday night whilst he is recovering from a calf injury and played under the name Phill Inn 😂!!
But seriously what was he thinking?!?

We finished on top of ladder in 1995 , four wins clear on top, repeat, fours wins more than second on ladder. We had our true home ground of Princes Park and we played our prelim final at MCG against night specialists and MCG tenant, North, never an issue. Winning finals at the MCG is always what this league should be about. Anything less and devalue the whole premiership race.

It depends, what's the head to head at the ground across 16 seasons?

That's why they want it moved, no more no less.

he'd wanna be less dull than his commentary style.............

After watching the game saturday and and the replay tonight, i must vent my frustration at the AFL for removing what was a good and effective rule, regarding grabbing the ball out of the ruck.

To see Marshall abandon trying to hit or tap the ball to his team or to advantage and just grab the ball, only to be set upon constantly is/was such a poor look, how the AFL in their wisdom thought this would open the game up is beyond me. Marshal did however show a great tactic for other sides in finals to exploit and I'm sure there will be a match that it will happen excessively and the AFL will change it again.

What is so hard about, if a ruckman grabs the ball out of the ruck, they must dispose of the ball correctly otherwise its holding the ball?

The rule was changed, but not to the extent that it was umpired on Saturday. The rule was previously that if it was grabbed out of the ruck, it was holding the ball immediately the player was tackled, now it has reverted to a more normal possession. There were definitely times that the umpires incorrectly did not pay holding the ball.

Again, not a problem with the rule (it is much better now, look at some of Kreuzer’s clearances), just the way that it is poorly umpired.
