Jon Patton has nearly come to the end of his 5th season, (admittedly out injured for a large chunk) but only now impacting games with 11 goals in his last two games.

The bigger guys take longer, much longer. Just shows how good Paddy is going to be as he's only played for 2 seasons now and has shown some great signs. As long as he can stay out on the park he will be huge! His rise will also make it easier for Skunk and Baroose and make it harder for the opposition defence to mark all 3 of them!!!
I reckon Paddy has better hands too. Patton is a tall bastard though & can really roost a footy.

Hopefully Tom Boyd is the exception to that... ;)

Adam Treloar, what a player.

Sickening that GWS can lose a player like him and still improve to reach top 4.
Brilliant young player. I reckon he's better than Shiel. Probably not as classy but he's more of a line breaker who is also super aggressive when defending. Very, very similar player to Jack Steven.

Wtf is the point in recruiting Boyd if your gonna play him in the ruck he is ******* useless the fat sack of shit
It's trying to show some value when he does nothing up forward. It's like buying a rock someone spray painted good for full price then telling your wife it was a door stop and you just liked the look of it.

didn't he donuts at quarter time to? Finished on 36 what a gun
What's ****** is that he wasn't as a good as Shiel when they both played together. Coniglio is also a gun and then they have Griffen, Kelly, Callan Ward, Scully, Hopper, Ahern, Pickett, Barett, Steele, WHE, Whitfield etc. They have to play Toby Greene as a small forward because despite being their most promising mid early on they couldn't fit him in.

4. Essendon has unearthed serious talent in 2016
The Bombers' campaign this year has to be the most fruitful three-win season in the competition's history. Clearly the circumstances are unprecedented, but Essendon has managed to make great inroads and learn plenty about its youngsters in a season that could have been wasted. On Saturday the flair of youth was on show against Carlton, with most of Essendon's best players at the younger end. Zach Merrett continued his sparkling form this season and is on track for his first best and fairest award, while Joe Daniher's five-goal haul had shades of a young Lance Franklin. Then there was second-year pair Jayden Laverde and Kyle Langford (three goals) in attack, while first-year sensations Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (four goals) and Darcy Parish (23 disposals) were also excellent. All of these players are in Essendon's starting side next year when the suspended players return, plus they have Aaron Francis waiting in the wings. There are brighter times ahead, which showed in the Bombers' 24-point win over Carlton. - Callum Twomey
