6 games in 3 years & being thrown around all over the ground & playing very good footy in the 2s.... No wonder he wanted to leave
That reads much like Tom Lee's time at St Kilda, although Lee is older than Lynch was. I did rate Lynch in the few preseason and ones games he played and was shattered when he left (despite the positive Newnes outcome).

Moral of the story, if we draft you and you were christened Thomas, best you make your way down to BDM quick smart!

Thank god we've got Membrey, Bruce and McCartin going forward. Apart from obviously Buddy who doesn't play permanent forward anymore they had no decent tall targets and never looked like scoring. Just need Lonie to become that A grade small and we're set.

All comes down to the midfield against GWS. Confident we can match them in most other areas but we need to load up on mids. Two for one deals, all early picks used on mids, hunt down homesick youngsters, the works. Match them in the middle and we'll be fine.

Sydney woeful disposal efficiency is finally being exposed... Been shit all year, but they win so much contested ball, it papers over the fact that 80% of their list cannot execute a drop punt correctly.

Sad reality is that, not only is Buddy their best goal kicker & player, he's also the best field kick in general play on their entire list too

Had a debate last night over who you would take out of Buddy and Danger to win a game for you. Eddie Betts going past both at the moment.

If we can find an elite small forward like that we will be in an amazing position going forward. Billings playing more up the ground but I would love to get some more mids in so that he can play 70-80% game time as a forward.

Daicos, Milne, Betts. They don't come around too often. Hopefully we can nab another.

Betts has had an unreal last few years - 5 goals and 6 goals in elimination finals is huge. And they say that small forwards usually suffer in cut throat finals.

Interesting stat: GWS has won the same number of finals as Richmond over the past 20 years.
Since GWS started they have won more finals than us

Amazing the two best forwards in the comp are Betts and Kennedy and both were Carlton listed. They also got rid Fev when he was in the top 4 forwards in the comp and garlett who was a fantastic second string to Betts and Robinson who was their 2nd highest goal scorer at the time from memory. No wonder they are so ****ed. They replaced them with one foot Daisy, Casboult and Liam Jones.

Carlton kicked something like 220-odd goals for the year as a team.... Collectively, Betts (72), Kennedy (82), Garlett (29) kicked 183

HAY!

Trading Kennedy and Betts has given opportunity for Casboult and Jones who have kicked a combined 27 goals this year

+1

massive respect for Boomer. 4 foot nothing, to play for as long as he did is remarkable. good on the little champion. cops a lot of flack for I'm not sure what. seems like a good person for mine
He seems like a good bloke off the field but I don't care what players are like off it (any of them). IOn the field he runs ahead of the ball getting cheap kicks. And when he gets tagged, he hits people behind play. He's dirty and he's soft. I mean seriously, how else can you play 400+?

The littlest sniper is gone! Good riddance.

(Anybody doubting the above should watch his 5 possession game against Clinton Jones, match against Freo in Perth about three years ago, their elimination final v WCE, also in Perth, where he's hit more players off the ball than he had possessions in the first quarter and his on filed behaviour and subsequent let off for low dog acts in the lead up to last year's finals series...)

I've got no love for the little campaigner.

You have to get the ball to Eddie, and that's where Danger comes into it.

Neil Balme signs on at Richmond under current regime.

Right now Dr Hiscock and friends are probably regretting their timing with everything.

Or being quietly paid off for their efforts by Brendon Gale.

Either way, I wonder if Richmond will now flirt with the concept of competence, and where does this leave Collingwood and Brisbane? Should be a bit of an entertaining off season.

Edit: starting now!
From AFL site article about Buckley bemoaning Balme defection:

...Balme, who rejoined Collingwood at the end of 2014 following an eight-year period at Geelong, was offered the newly created director of coaching role at the Magpies for next season.

However, the move was widely seen as a demotion for Balme in the club's restructured football department.

As part of the reshuffle, the Magpies promoted experienced administrator Graeme 'Gubby' Allan – who returned to the club in May – as general manager of football to oversee their entire football department.

Buckley said he had no say in the changes.

"I wasn't privy to the decision that was made because it's made higher up the chain than me," he said.

"One thing you do know that happens in a football club is change is inevitable and change is constant, but it needs to be the right change.

"I'm looking forward to working with 'Gubby' but that doesn't mean that I don't wish that Balmey had accepted that director of coaching role for 12 months, selfishly.

"But I understand the reasons for him choosing to go to Richmond."...

:beermug::pizza:sorry, no popcorn emotion. Don't worry Bucks, at least now your players will know what to do after they've been on the gear all night long!

The great irony in all of this is that Treloar, much like his coach, left his interstate club for Collingwood in order to win a flag at a BIG club.

Sadly, just like his coach, he will spend the next few years watching his former club winning consecutive flags.
