Does it really matter? Stop the testing. It achieves nothing and is embarrassing.
Sells the Herald Sun though. They can tutt tutt about drugs while their journo's are getting pissed blind, smoking huge spliffs and snorting big lines.

The AFL can lead the war on drugs - lol

Anyway as I said I never booed Goodes. Great player.

Wouldnt bother booing Scully
There are plenty of AFL supporters who are wonderful people . Unfortunately there is an equal amount of supporters (of all teams) who are absolute brain dead sheep who just go with the flow like a moron.
I remember the first few times Matty Lappin played against StKilda. He got booo's from the crowdo_O.
Matty was a good kid who WE traded off. He never left on his own accord. Yet nuff nuffs still booo'd.
When it comes to Boooing we cant rub it out all together obviously. And neither should we. It can be a part of the theatre of the game.
Take Goddard for example. If we play Essendope and BJ gets a few soft free kicks or starts roughing up one of our young players. Then yeah, ill booo the crap out of him. Nothing wrong with that. Its all good fun .
But i agree with you about Goodes/Scully.
I just dont see the reasoning in widespread Booing of somebody just cos they made a different employment choice or you dont agree with their personality.
We wouldnt do that at work or on the street.

I think booing is a bit silly personally, but it is part of the pantomime type support of AFL like calling BAAAALLLLL in unison or everyone yelling ROOOOOO when he gets the ball.

Booing an individual is infantile and mob bullying. Goodes was the worst case of bullying but it was enflamed by the likes of Mahwr and Leach and Hinds who just proclaimed everyone racist.

The simplistic browbeating from these bastions of moral purity was just as distasteful as the Bullying of Goodes and yesterday the bullying of Scully.

We surely cant compare the boing of Goodes and Scully. Scully wont be booed by any other team, Goodes was booed by every team. People were asked not to boo Goodes so after that request you were either a racist or an arseh*le of a person who obviously are happy to hurt the feelings of another human.

Some more perspective....

Clayton Oliver 1st game:
5 kicks
17 handballs
2 marks
2 tackles
15 CP
7 clearances

Luke Dunstan 1st game:
15 kicks
6 handballs
7 marks
7 tackles
8 CP
5 clearances

We all know we need some more elite talent, but we already have some very good-to-elite talent on our list, we've just got to get behind them & back them in. Some kids don't become a elite until they've been in the system for 4-6 years, FFS let's give our kids some time before we write them off. We'll add another top 10 draft pick this year, & hopefully trade for a gun kid in the 21-23 yr old age bracket as well.

Once these are added to the mix, along with natural development, things won't look so bad.

Then we also throw Carlisle into the CHB position for 2017 & things start to look even better.

Let's all just see how the year plays out before we start saying that our list is void of elite talent & just full of foot soldiers

Got to agree, remember watching Dunstan play his first game and thinking wow we have ourself a Lenny Mk2 but with a bit more goal sense.

Think he caught the second year blues big time and that shoulder reco he had didn't help one bit either as he wasn't allowed to do contact for most of the pre season. Really looking forward to him stepping up cracking in hard this year.

And look how Ablett went last year after his shoulder reco. Barely got on the park. I think we are being far to judgemental on Luke IMHO. And he's just one of many that supporters need to take a deep breath & think before speaking negatively about

Does anyone think this is the end for Dane Swan?

Aged 32 y 1 month. Has played basically 10 straight seasons only missing a handful of games in 2014 but pretty much playing every single game at a high level for 10 straight years. An incredible run really. 258 games in total after being a relatively late starter. Didnt really get going until he was 21-22. Very similar career timeline/trajectory to Joey actually.

watching this dogs game reminds me of our comeback last year :thumbsu:
Sone big differences. No Libba, Dogs not backing up after a physical slog against Sydney in the wet and Clay Smith did his knee early.

We ran over the top because Dogs ran out of legs.

Ross Lyon is about to be finally found out and revealed as the fraud he truly is. Not a single new player in today's side. Still trying to win games by scoring 60 points. Still persisting with the Swans 'Bloods' game plan from 2005. No fwds. Still persisting with his favourite old hacks like Ibbotson, Clancee Pearce, Chris Mayne, Mzungu, Danyle Pearce, Griffin. Found out.
