Hawkins would have to be one of, if not the, most overrated player in the comp.

Every time he loses a contest he bitches to the umpire that he should've got a free kick, see the last minute of our game against them this year when he tripped over his own feet and was beside himself that he didn't get a free for it.

Looking at the Swans I cant help but think that this is the team Richo is trying to build.

Just insane pressure, relentless tackling but with the positioning and pace on the outside to make he most of the turnovers.

They also only play one real KPD in Aliir as Rampe and Grundy arent huge gorilla defenders but intercept and spoil players.

This is an amazing game to watch and im all in on the NSWGF here.

Heeney was a gift the same way Moore and Daniher were gifts to their clubs. The same as Libba and Wallace and Hawkins and Ablett etc.

Mills was bid on and the Swans matched. Their whole draft went into Mills basically. Also he isnt even playing tonight so not really having an impact on this shit kicking of the Cats.

Dont want this to derail the thread into a immigration debate. But its great to see him do well.
The young African refugees here are screaming out for a good role model and positive feedback in the media.
He is a feel good story compared to the Apex gang F-Wits who make it hard for other African kids not to be judged unfairly.
Good on him.

If I have to hear one more word about Rhys Stanley improving at geelong I'm gonna spew up Terry Wallace style.

I liked the part where Geelong as a whole were trying to shepherd through the ball for a goal, and there we have Sydney fly over the top to spoil the ball millimetres from the line.

What do we see but Rhys "golden child" Stanley, float across maybe 5m out from the line in a half jump attempt because he misread the flight of the ball and tried for a mark but pulled out because he misread the flight.

Yup; improved in that he's on the park.

But my god he's like an antelope with 1 leg sometimes.

Rhys Stanley is exactly the same player at the cats that he was with us 2 years ago. I get no pleasure from seeing him struggle but it is somewhat vindicating of our decision to move him on.

Well the way the Swans are going id feel pretty F-ing surprised.
