You should see what it's like when you can't get it then. I have been feeling like throwing up and headache all day if I don't get any. I'm totally unproductive with out it. France had espresso that was pretty decent, they used to have bowls of coffee flavoured hot milk.

Coming to this latte, but I found getting great long blacks in Germany and France easy.

In France, the default coffee is espresso. If you order "allongez" (meaning long), voila - a long black.

In Germany, same deal but order "krema".

(You saw what I did there).

Funny, living in France I don't really notice the coffee culture here, and cafes aren't really that prominent. Maybe it's just the nit I live in. Melbourne and London were far more cafe cultures.

I was overseas during his appointment and from a distance he seemed okay.

But as he only lasted the two years (of a three year contract?), he obviously was not.

Plus a few posters here have made uncomplimentary comments about him.

So I'm curious:

Why'd he get the flick?

And why is Richo so much better?
