Never under-estimate the work assistant coaches do.

Terry Daniher was our forwardline coach in 2004 and he made a forwardline of Gehrig, Riewoldt, Koschitzke and Hamill work. 4 talls!!

Losing Walsh and Richardson in a short span has crippled Port tactically.

Hinkley is a great motivator but take away their game day smarts, on top of no longer being a mile in front of every team fitness wise, and Port have been found wanting.

A few minor injuries to important blokes haven't helped.

We'd probably have beaten them if we'd played them in round 2. Imagine the line up they had against us minus Schultz, Hartlett, White & Alipate Carlisle. Would have been nice.

port just aint that good

Their early season also isn't flash hot, been knocked out of many a tipping comp in the first 5 rounds due to them over the past decade.

Also, Pies on the slide massively.

Not a good look to see the lower level of the MCG looking sparce these last few weeks, especially behind the goals at the Ponsford end. Is it just that Collingwood and Essendon are 'on the nose' of has something changed with ticketing?

Both. reserved seat fees and both sides were on the decline for obvious reasons, the question was how far they would fall, and currently for the Pies it is quite severely and Essendon whilst showing some guts, were and are not expected to win much this year.

Geez Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon and Richmond are at the bottom of the ladder. For those who followed in the 1980's, (I was a very young kid), these clubs were the power clubs and all the kids at primary school supported those 4 sides.....Hawthorn aside

Its great to see

I wish someone would tell me the reason why coaches need to be signed up when they haven't proven they are good enough. It may even be the teams problem but the coach gets the blame so why sign him. Bucks and Dimma are perfect examples this season. May be good coaches or may not be but now the media will be all over them. People say they need to be signed up to stop media talking about them but now it will happen for the opposite reasons. May as well save your money and wait.

Unbelievably the Dees were 3.15 to win and $13 for 40+ points.
Kicking myself now.

Don't sack bucks pls. Collingwood have a good young list, a decent coach will get them playing to at least half their potential.

May Hardwick and B. Scott also have long and ordinary coaching careers. :thumbsu:
