If the free kick for holding the ball is paid for the Lewis tackle on Douglas on the Hawks 50m halfway through the last quarter, then Isaac Smith should have been pinged in the dying seconds. Was exactly the same

If in doubt, put the whistle away when the hawks infringe and if in doubt give the Hawks a free for things that have not been frees all night. That should enable them to get four or so free in the last few minutes and Bruce to get use from his rubber underwear.

It's certainly heartening. The Crows are the best thing since sliced bread right now, so it sure seems like we're tracking OK. Still worried about this week though.

TBF the giants are looking like serious finals contenders and have a quite impressive array of key forwards.

But one Jake Carlisle will solve most of that next seaon.

I fail to see what the big deal with the umpiring was tonight.

The Popi in the back was 100% correct

The Isaac Smith HTB non call was consistent with how they adjudicated it all night.

The Taylor Walker one I don't really have an issue with either

Five frees to none in the last five minute. If in doubt it's a free to the Hawks or nothing.

1. Popi in the back was weak. Bigger contact not paid earlier in numberours instances.

2. Smith - incorrect. Look at the first minute of the game for an example of a quick htb

3. It's not illegal to look at the player to get your position if you look at the ball again before you spoil. It's also necessary to make some contact with a player to infringe.

Even the bloody commentators admitted the umps were shit. And the umpires last week admitted the fuced up against us.

Amazing. Now we have to hear how amazing the Hawks are for wining three tight ones in a row.

Since last 3 weeks hawks get some help from the umpires. Then umpires comes out during the week and apologise but it does not get reflected on the ladder. Might as well name 2016 premiership winners - Hawks and Umpires

From what I hear, this is present day Australia. My friends and family say it's changed a lot since I left - loads more petty rules and a population content to follow them. Less thought and all debate shunted quickly into absolutes and extremes.
