For all the cocky Dogs fans, they have beaten one side in the top 8 this year. Adelaide who are 8th.

Not a top 4 side yet, although they've been unlucky with injuries.

Surprisingly GWS have a similar number of senior players out but just have amazing depth.
I think they are a genuine chance this year.

See Carton and Pies come down to earth with losses to Cats and Dogs respectively.

A bit each way with Dees and Port.

Bask in the schadenfreude of the Nightmaretime match/the Sash derby.

Some top of the table action with North v Sydney, Crows v Giants.

But there's a match I'm forgetting, can't place it for the life of me.

Their backline has been absolutely decimated by injuries this year. They are a top 4 side with all their players available, no doubt in my mind. Bring back Marcus Adams, Jason Johanissen and Bob Murphy and they are probably kicking another 3 goals and restricting another 3 goals each game. IMO.

Mate he is 110% tanking. You can be sure Ross is in contact with Cam McCarthy and keeping a very close eye on Sam Petrevski-Seton. I still think they'd be down near the bottom but I'm struggling to believe 0-9 with some of their home games is anything but tanking.

Was he tanking in the first 6 rounds?
Was he planning on tanking when he talked Pav into going around again this season?
Convenient that he is tanking now. This is media spin. No way was he tanking in the first 8 rounds.

Giants mature recruits are turning out to be master strokes. Shaw in career best form. Scully and Ward entering their prime. Griffin, Patful and SJ are getting on but still capable and have moments of brilliance.

Next few weeks will tell us a whole lot. North have Swans, Cats, Hawks. GWS have Crows, Cats, Swans. Cats play those two and the Dogs.

If the Giants come away with 2 or 3 wins out of that they're the real deal.

More the AFL will need to ask questions. I hope Petrevski -Seton is as good as they say if Freo are taking a year out from footy to get him.

I don't get how people think they aren't trying. They lost 6 or 7 in a row before ot was questioned and I'm sure they were trying then. They have since keeping lose. Looks pretty consistent form to me.
