We will beat GWS reserves Carlton in 2 weeks. Stop assuming they are good because they are beating Geelong.... Geelong are flattered by their own ladder position. Destroyed by Collingwood, beaten by Carlton....

The 'Danger' effect is wearing off

Geelong are hard to place. The Skilled Stadium factor skews their results, and their draw has been a little soft, but their wins in Adelaide this season were class. The flag favourite talk was laughable though

There's a bit more to it than that imo.
The game Carlton is playing atm is one that has the ability to cause us more than a few problems.

The issue is Carltons strength is our deficiency - Cripps the clearance king!!! They are a chance to kill us in the clearances. If we play like we played against Freo then we'll lose easily. We need to start winning contested ball - we do that then we have the forward set up to beat the blues....

Carlton impressive when you consider they are having a poor run with injuries. They might be too banged up by the time they play us.

It is probably fair to say we got a bit lucky with the draw facing Collingwood when they were playing so poorly.

They were always going to lift for that game against the Crows, especially due to the Dangerfield factor. And Port aren't much chop TBH. The strongest team Port have fielded all year was in round 1 - we were pretty stiff on that front given our effort that day. If we'd met them any round after that, we'd have knocked them off

The Dogs have gotten well ahead of themselves and overrated how good they are. The only side in the top 8 they have beaten is Adelaide who are just in the 8.
They will beat Collingwood becauae they only have one on the bench.
Another soft tissue injury to a Pies player.
Thank god we got rid of Davoren

We have better quality players around the ground & better forwards. They'll be hard pressed finding a match up for Roo. One of the KPFs will get off the chain - Membrey most likely as no one plays him any respect. I'd back our backs to beat their forwards & our half backs are superior to theirs.

Yes the midfield is a worry, but if we win those other positions & break even enough in the middle, we will win. Hickey will slaughter Gorringe too which will help us get our hands on the ball first

dogs extremely lucky they didnt have a bench, collingwood shouldve put them away in the 2nd quarter

I would make a lousy tipper, and now I'm forced to give Freo, Magpies and Blues some respect. Thank God we won this weekend.

You'd have to imagine an in form Kreuzer would spend the majority of the game rucking with Gorringe the predominant FWD/Ruck option.
