Thought we could pencil in 2 wins this year vs the blues but will have to reconsider that . Hopefully they've gone a bit cold by the time we play them.

Didn't see the full match, but Dogs seemed lucky to win that. Just beating a middling Collingwood team with no bench is hardly the stuff of a top 4 team. As much as I can feel sorry for Collingwood, they had just been getting season back on track a bit and now they have been hit by more injuries - must be frustrating for them. Maybe MCG made the dogs struggle a bit. As we learnt painfully in 09-10, playing sub-optimally on the MCG is not a great recipe for finals success. I personally wouldn't be too unhappy if a win like this just papered over the cracks for the Dogs.

the amount of shit west coast get away with over there is amazing, get kissed on the dick by the umps

You'd have to imagine an in form Kreuzer would spend the majority of the game rucking with Gorringe the predominant FWD/Ruck option.
I hope they are at their best and we still smash them twice

Replace them with GC, stick a fork in em; they're done.

Spoke with him at the Freo game and he said yes.

Hi guys. I've only been following this sport for a couple years so I've never seen Freeman play. I like watching you guys play which leads me to this question. Where would he play in your side? Outside/inside? Thanks and good luck the rest of the year, you got a exciting team.

If he plays anywhere we will be happy but in our dreams he would be an inside/outside mid

Welcome aboard the mighty AFL code mate. Was a died in the wool RL supporter before I moved to Melbourne a million years ago ( or so it seems).
Takes a while but once it has its hooks in you, it will never let go.

As for Freeman. Before the hammies he had a terrific turn of pace. From the little I have seen him play (coming back from injury), seems to be an outside mid type. However he is not shy to tackle or get his own ball.
We are all hopeful for him as a fit Freeman will be an absolute steal.

Thanks for dropping by and stick with your team. May take a while but it is worth it.

Thanks for the reply. I can see why people speak so highly of him. Can't wait to see him.

It's grown on me and fast. I follow the MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA, and the college equivalents. Just my second season following footy (watched 2014 after it happened) and it has to be my favorite sport now. I can't get enough. I'm even listening to Melbourne radio (as long as they're talking footy).

Sorry if I derailed the thread. Get well Freeman.

Best start following the saints mate, a club with some history. If you love a under dog you'll fit right in.

I have a soft spot for you guys. When I was in the process of picking a club to become a member it was down to Gold Coast, St Kilda, and Western. History played a part in choosing GC. They were only around for four years easy to learn that history instead of 100+.

Fair enough, they'll probably only be around for another 4 years too :p

Following the Saints' history is easy mate; Saints' history = heartbreak.

I know.

The grammar etc is atrocious. :D

But in all seriousness, he sounds like he might struggle to ever play, and that's awful. I really hope he gets on top of his issues whatever that means for his footy career.

Aha, thankfully for Richmond he's not paid to know his their's, there's and they're's.

Agreed, as with Roughy it's much more important he gets himself right and worries about his footy second.
