So apparently Garry Lyon hasn't been seen in public for over a week because he's had surgery to fix a broken jaw, courtesy of Barry Stoneham. Barry is Billy's best friend & godfather to Billy's eldest daughter.....

Reading between the lines, I reckon the ex wife has taken the fall but it's really the daughter, not the ex-wife

Hear you on the whole "women as chattel" - massive issue.
If what Rors and I have heard is correct and he's been messing with his best mate's daughter and then some, he had to expect a response.
Strictly not kosher, I know, but when it relates to these types of matters a father and possibly his other mates are naturally going to be very protective.

Yeah, it's not necessarily seeing the girl as a chattel as knowing Gary would have seen her grow up and there is some kind of weirdo pedo vibe to it. Especially seeing he was probably a surrogate uncle as she grew up. Creepy as ****. There are some things you just shouldn't do, that makes Carey look like a choirboy.

I made that observation over on the SuperCoach board- essendon's top ups don't look too bad (Simpkin, brown and grimley in particular) but - they are only playing Carlton.

Geez Carlton's list is shocking. Can't see them being close to finals for about 7 years. Parish looks really good. Kyle Langford was an absolute steal of a pick. He'd have been a steal at pick 8. Fek I hope they lose Hurley and/or Hooker; despite the chance of them having 2 top 4 picks, that would set them back 3 or more years.

He is playing a decent match, but his disposal is rushed and his contribution to the team performance has been minimal.

Essendon's squad seems to be mainly mature aged players while Carlton seems to have more kids and this may explain the scoreline
