I think if they had their time again, and with the knowledge of how quick their upswing would be, they wouldn't offer anywhere near that now. That $1m offer was purely a hail mary to save face because they were completely and utterly embarrassed by their captain.

Ross Lyon is about to be finally found out and revealed as the fraud he truly is. Not a single new player in today's side. Still trying to win games by scoring 60 points. Still persisting with the Swans 'Bloods' game plan from 2005. No fwds. Still persisting with his favourite old hacks like Ibbotson, Clancee Pearce, Chris Mayne, Mzungu, Danyle Pearce, Griffin. Found out.

Well it will be interesting to see what they do in the next game.

Someone riddle me this. Why woldl Lyon de-list Jacob Ballard who won the Peel B & F aged 21 but keep Mzungu and Danyle Pearce on the list? It makes no logical sense. He clearly has a psychological problem with anyone under 23 and is set to grind the Freo list in to the dust - just as he did with us. It is no accident that we won the Spoon in 2014 and the same fate will befall Freo.

Did Jacob ballard get picked up by someone else? If not then ross probably did the right thing. ( not that i want to say anything goog abou lyon.)

Does anyone else think the people making the biggest story out of the illicit drug thing are ... Collingwood themselves.... They keep playing the victim but Eddie has a habit of blowing up off field issues to distract from a poor on-field performance. He does it regularly.

Does anyone think this is the end for Dane Swan?

Aged 32 y 1 month. Has played basically 10 straight seasons only missing a handful of games in 2014 but pretty much playing every single game at a high level for 10 straight years. An incredible run really. 258 games in total after being a relatively late starter. Didnt really get going until he was 21-22. Very similar career timeline/trajectory to Joey actually.

Bump. Is Swan finished? I cant see him coming back from here.
Had 10 great years. Was always very good against us. Great career.

Maybe but he played WAFL and won a B & F. Hes done everything that was asked. And 16 of the 18 clubs dont really take notice of the WAFL so he wasnt really in the shop front for other clubs. Either way - if a bloke is 21 and does everything asked of him in the WAFL and you delist him anyway and stick with your old players - some of whom arent that good - what kind of message are you sending to your young players? De motivational.

Anyway lets see how he goes in the VFL.
