Same injury as last year, right?

yeap, they've been playing him with the plate still in... apparently if you fracture it around the same spot where the plate is, it can get very very serious very quickly

hence their concern yesterday

Ross playing his troops into the ground, bloody typical.

Collingwood have more to lose, so hoping Essendon get up. I actually think it'll be a pretty spirited match. Maybe not high quality, but there'll be a bit of bite in it.

I'm looking forward to seeing Essendon win more games than they do next year when their stars come back.

Geez No Fyfe, No Sandilands, No Mundy, No Wins. This has to be the worst case scenario for Freo?

Are they going to book surgeries now because they are tanking to get Sam Petrovski Seton?

holy shit... matthew lloyd, brother of the freo list manage, just said hooker will probably stay in victoria now as freo isnt seen a worthwhile destination given they wont be playing finals for a number of years

Don't forget Harley Bennell.

Gee, that's sad news. Bwahahaha!

They've struggled to attract anyone of note even when they were a clear top side and were offering them squillions, so imagine how on the nose they'll be now that they look like sucking for the forseeable future!?

They'll probably have to rebuild almost exclusively through the draft, which means they're likely to be years off contending again.

spot on ARR, their strategy was they'd be able to patch up the list in a mini rebuild. fixing up their fwd line with hogan and mccarthy, chucking hooker down back, then getting a couple extra years out of the veterans. add in bennell, weller, and some other mids they could bring in whilst playing finals. but i think now its pretty obvious to everyone that this is a rebuild similar to what we have had to go through. its going to be a long 8 year task involving 4-5 drafts having multiple picks inside the top 25 not a quick mini rebuild. by the time they challenge again some of the better players wont be there anymore and i cant see any FA wanting to go there until they look there abouts. i mean they had a hard enough time convincing people when they were a flag threat.

if they do get hogan it means theyre losing more of those top 25 picks which will just set them back further. thats before you look at them losing neale now which is their only other decent young inside mid outside of fyfe. its 1 step fwd, 2 steps back stuff.

given how bad ross is taking this to date, i cant see him sticking out until 2020 when his contract expires. he's effectively shut out the WA media already here in perth. he's very combative with the small crowd of WA media and a couple weeks back he cancelled his weekly radio segment and sent bondy in to do it. now the news of fyfe is being broken to eastern states media and the WA media aint too happy about being locked out.

You'd have to think there would now be serious doubts that they would be able to attract Hogan across, especially if Melbourne continue to improve. He's not going to want to leave an exciting up-and-coming team to go and play for a team that's years off contending again.

This just posted on the Freo board:
lol, Johnson has a bad hamstring tear and medial damage too.

**** 2016.
Looks like the wheels are falling off them.
