So Brisbane are in such huge trouble that they need immediate and urgent assistance from the afl?? Priority picks, and **** knows what else. Well they only just won three ****ing premierships not all that ****en long ago. **** me try being a Saints supporter, or a Dogs supporter for that ****en matter with 1 flag each to show for 140 years of ****en football. Throw us a bone you pack of dropkick campaigners.

Too much is made into w/l with coaches early, sides are at different junctures, lists are in different shapes, coaches should be judged after 3-5 years at a single club where you have clear direction, clear emphasis from the coaching panel and you can see if they're going to make it or not.

Yeah Leppa took over a team that was seen to be being poorly coached and having been down for too long. They axed Voss because they felt he wasn't making the most of their list. Leppa was going to start getting results and instead they have further stagnated under him.

Richo is in the enviable position of starting at rock bottom and anything he builds upon is seen as his fine work. He took over at a time we looked to be deluding ourselves about not rebuilding and was expected to take us a step back even further and at this point he's hanging around the same spot. I can't remember who said it but someone suggested next year expectations of performance might get a bit harder and if there isn't noticeable ladder rises i think he could come under a lot of scrutiny.
Anyway one minute we look a million bucks but still not getting results the next we look like a deplorable rabble. I have realised I was starting to dream a bit ahead and have tempered my expectation back around where I had them at round one now. 6 to 10 wins and finish in the bottom 6 sounds about right again.

It won't matter what they do with what's happening at GWS. Sydney have snuck under the radar but done well also. Those two will be there abouts for as long as it takes NSW to become a footy state.

Will never happen, GWS will win their three or four and then fade out. The love for Aussie rules just isn't there.

The Lions have an identity issue in that they've never really recovered from the whole players wanting out of the club and publicly stating how crap it is there, I mean Mike leaving for GCS who are still operating out of portable housings pretty much sums up the split that occurred at the time, this was different to say Ball with us who simply hated Lyon as coach. And whilst NSw seems shored up performance wise with the Swans and Giants, QLD seems a steaming pile of dung in comparison with the Lions and GCS.

I would be of the opinion that we've improved since last year, putting together much more complete quarters of footy than the constant yo-yoing of poor & good that occurred last year, so I would think Richo is safe so long as this improvement is then further improved upon and the side constantly evolves, since it will be this evolution that would see us challenge again for a flag. Yes we'll still have blips, but it's been what? 2 and a bit from 8 down from 3-4 in the same period? Meanwhile the club is growing and expanding, so time would be on his side I would imagine.

True about the Lions but for some reason the AFL went all in on the NSW market and have left the Queensland teams to fend for themselves. They have shot themselves in the foot and had some bad injury luck but they just seem to need a whole lot of help right now.

Coaches can go from hero to zero very quickly. Richo needs to keep us on the up and have no stalls along the way if he wants a smooth ride. He's probably got next year where the fans will be able to stomach not making finals but improving then the expectations will rise and the board will come under scrutiny at that point. The first person they come after is the coach.

Gives me the f!@#ing shits when someone like Sam Newman comes out and defends the umps decision regarding Hickey. Again the issue isn't one decision, but bloody CONSISTENCY!! Newman sprouts his verbal garbage like it OUR problem.

There is nothing wrong with stepping over the line as long as it is done straight after the bounce. He can stand there if he is there first as long as he doesn't do 2 actions.
