I put a really stupid 6am-drunk bet on the Giants about 2 and a half years ago - that they'd make the GF by the end of 2017.

I kinda hate them but I kinda don't wanna be a few hundred out to one of my best mates.

Gonna be an interesting next 15 months.

Melbourne have an awful record when starting favourites... I tipped them too but it's hard to tip them with any real level of confidence.

Difficult to say. Finals are completely different. Interesting to see how they acquit themselves this year when the real heat is on.

Tongue was firmly in cheek with the tanking comment. But Cloke is a much much much better footballer than Jesse White. Wouldn't surprise me if what you're saying is right though, could probably get pick 15-20 and shed about 600k from their cap by shipping him off.
