He is a small guy being asked to play an outside run game which suits his frame and skills very well. Lonie is being asked to play a high pressure game and small forward role, two of the hardest things to do in the game. Lonie will definitely come good.

Lonie doesn't have the skills to do an outside run game.

Daniel is already one of the best kicks in the game imo.

I hope Lonie reaches good. But at the moment he is average with his disposal. That may be just due to poor fitness. We'll see.

If the players swapped clubs, Daniel would be getting a game for us for sure - in place of Minchington or McKenzie.

Unsure if Lonie would be getting a game at the Dogs.

No failing in being worse than Daniel.

I understand why they chose Lonie, local boy, club captain, B&F. Just in awe of Daniel.

But taking Lonie ahead of Daniel is one of them

Would go as far to say that Daniel is already one of the best users in the comp

And is already at home in the comp

His a classy user but if we had him I reckon fans wouldn't be so in love with him. His size obviously has limitations that see him struggle to tackle and win cp

He's still young. Only 26 this year. Needs to keep it up for a few more years to be mentioned in the same breath as ablett.

Individually his year is just about as good as fyfes last year. Honestly a shame we have had fyfe going head to head with danger all year for the brownlow taken away with injury. Would have been amazing to watch.

And gaz kivking 3 or 5 goals from the mid was something else.

Do you not remember his first year? His skills in his first year are equal to Daniel's.
