Im growing, well trying to grow a dwarf lime tree. Stupid thing hasn't grow a cm in a year. I think i killed it.

My lime tree is around 80cm tall , it gets around 8 flowers each year, of which 3 grow into the pissyest little limes you ever saw.

Okay, here's a start, upgrade the detention centers and increase oversight (like, i don't don't know, removing the laws that make it illegal to report abuse at these facilities) so that the UN stops, as Mr Abbott so lovingly put it, "lecturing us" about human rights abuses.

Most likely needs a good fertilizer, lime trees need a good bit of phosphorus

Perhaps anyone who feels strongly enough about clearing the numbers in detention could sponser migrants personally .

I give a monthly donation to UNHCR who run the camps and my wife volunteers 2 days a week at the refugee legal service as a lawyer I could sponsor them but I wouldn't know how to find someone. I thought about setting up a footy thing with the Saints to take new migrants to the footy to get them into Aussie culture. I might have to follow it up.

yeah all citrus love heaps of fertilizer next time you plant one fig a much deeper hole bury a heap of fertilizer and fill it with soil tobyhecright height. Plant on it so it grows into it. The top feed as well. Piss works as extra but go hard with a good slow release citrus fertilizer.

Gotta hit them when they are flowering as well because it takes up all the nutrients.

Funny thing because there are a lot of "legal" migrants who are setting up dodgy business so they can get a visa. Go figure. Think $2 shops and take away food shops. Interesting. They don't make any money but they get their residency. Meanwhile the poor buggers in the camps... doctors, engineers etc etc etc.

Yeah there are brokers. If you buy a business with a minimal turnover you get residency. People start and sell them for that purpose.

No it wasn't in reportage although that is monitored heavily unlike most news services- they actually have charter that doesn't allow biased reporting and it's constantly monitored. Stuff like real journalism that uncovers government failures was once normal now it looks like political statements. The ABC board was stacked by the federal government when Abbott was elected. Anyway the government has been beholden to Murdoch who ever gets in for decades, he gets all sorts of concessions and access no one else is allowed. We gave him the rights to the Australia Network which pays him to put an Australian voice overseas and especially in Asia Pacific. It looks like a kick back for support. We also had the tax office pay him back close to a billion dollars because he'd had to pay some tax in the 1990s. The tax department had to pay him interest on that tax he paid so it was an astronomical sum.

Sorry, the UN is rubbish.

The UN is rubbish but the UNHCR is running the better or only camps in a lot of countries and is one of the few non religious organisations that aren't syphoning money to use as a way of running missionary activity. They have a lot more actual money landing on the ground than most and have more access due to the affiliation with the parent organisation. It's not a perfect organisation by any means but it's seperate from the UN peace keeping forces and UN commission that operate as an international court. I think most charity probably does more to appease the guilty privileged folks than actually helps but I hope it does something.

They are good at actualising emergency procedures too, they send experts in and tackle the worst situations. I saw an article recently saying the US red cross had been donated about a billion dollars for haiti and had so far managed to build 6 houses with it and it's been years since thousands of people have been left homeless.

Anyway there are camps like the ones in Kenya that hold up to 600,000 if we don't support the UN to fund the camps the people who don't want immigrants will have to accept that more will go elsewhere looking for a safe life so we will end up with more migrants. If people don't want them they should help pay the UN to house them.

Its will be a lack of fertiliser for sure once the weather warms up smash it with Dynamic lifter and it will go nots. And they like acid soil so get some citrus fertiliser. You are meant to not let them fruit for a few years as they settle in anyway so should be good timing.
