As good as Gaz is, he's cooked IMO.I hope we don't make a play for GAJ.

Pity the cats don't have a first rounder..... Actually they need to trade one in too .....Gone next year imo.
Gone next year imo.

Chaplain?Rookie list maybe.
He's still under contract. The Suns will make him retire a Sun, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind. It's pivotal to their marketing/image to have the best player in the modern era retire a 'favourite son' at Gold Coast.Gone next year imo.

Carlton would. A 55-yr old GAJ is still better than most of their list. He's still under contract. The Suns will make him retire a Sun, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind. It's pivotal to their marketing/image to have the best player in the modern era retire a 'favourite son' at Gold Coast.
His contract finishes up at the end of 2018, and no one's gonna sign a soon-to-be 35 year old GAJ to a contract in 2019, when he's already showing signs of slowing down at 32.
Gaz could play to 37-38 IMO, at least in the forward line. He will overcome the shoulder issues and remind people how much of a freak he is next year.
Most dominant player I have seen since Lockett, would be pumped to have him at the Saints for a couple of years even if he is 35.
Ablett has 2 years left on his contract next year, and Geelong have sweet **** all to bargain with.
That's gonna be a very interesting time had by all.
Good to see X-man get a asst coach gig at the Tigers. That's what's known as a trial by fire! He should be good for the Aboriginal players at the Tigers, although I'm not sure how many there are now.
I notice also that Mini Mac has been promoted to stoppages coach.
Aside from Harves, Lenny, Clarke and McQualter, how many other ex-Saints are involved in senior AFL coaching?
PS: are Aussie Jones and Jason Heatley still involved in coaching at all?
