This is big news! And dealt with much more efficiently than the Bomber's saga.

A little bit wtf on this though:

Collingwood indicated on Tuesday that Allan would accept the ban if the terms and nature of the charge were acceptable and that this was still being sorted.

Since when do you get to decide the terms and conditions of your punshment?? Since when do you get to decide if you want to accept the punishment at all?? That's so soft. Piss-weak by the AFL. You're supposed to be the governing body of the whole sport. You don't get into negotiations over punishments, you dictate how, when and what the terms are yourself. Pushovers.

I don't think Jobe is the bad guy here, and his "confession" was simply being upfront and realistic. I don't believe he thought he was cheating at the time the Bombers administered the gear.

I thought Jobe handled himself well enough. Certainly better than idiots like Hird and McVeigh.
The only thing that he (and any of them ) could have done better is not drink the cool aid provided by the club and cop the penalty that was originally offered.
He probably thought that those advising him knew better than he did. Turns out that they were a) Total idiots ( Hird ) and b) happy to contest anything if someone paid the bill ( Lawyers ).

That's the massive laugh, they could have had 6 months suspended and all over by the end of 2014.
