Sydney were overdue and after last week geelong wernt just gona flop. I saw it coming.
What i find interesting is how the the teams producing results in finals arnt necessarily the teams with the firing talls up forward.
You look at the differences with the winners its been the teams with the extra smalls up forward that are winning.
Richmond been winning like that all year.
Now geelong just caused a massive upset in the same way with danger up forward.
Did we stuff up going with extra talls up forward?
Are we really going to be better off when we get paddy bruce membrey billings and battle into an oversized fwd line?
And yet people wana get more height up there in Stringer.
I just dont see how their all gona fit.
We should be looking for specialist small fwds that kick goals. Lonie, Long and Mav are less than 50/50 at best. We struggled heaps all year because none of them fired.
Its too bad charlie cameron doesnt wana come to vic. He's got carrying pace as a mid and kicks goals from every where.
Too bad Ainsworth signed a long contract when were cashed up. But thats the kind of players we need in the door.

Paddy and Bruce are the only talls there in that list. Billings, Memberey and Battle all small to medium forwards. When you see Members up close he's like Seb Ross size, he plays like a guy 6'5" though.

Their not smalls though gringo. Their mediums. But they play more like kpp's. They dont move fast enough or apply enough pressure to be considred smalls. That was a big difference for geelong last night and Richmond last week.
We just wern't able to contol the contested ball or contested play I50 anywhere near enough all season and to that fwd line were going to add paddy and battle? And at the same time discussing getting Stringer? That just doesnt make sense.
Wtf is this obsession with talls at this club. Where are the quality young mids and specialist small forwards?
These stupid decisions the recruiters have made over the last few years are just crazy. All they ever want to do is trade our 1sts. Who else in the comp has so many rucks and talls and mediums yet have no genuine A grade mids developing. Our list is so imbalanced, and its going get worse when they realise that talls are out of fashion, our small fwds are crap and our list is stacked with both.
Their going to clean out another heap of fails this year and next.
But ofcourse our recruiting guys are heralds of the mesiah. Totally unaccountable.

We need players who can win their individual contests (one on one) and then do something constructive with the ball)- that's the obvious difference between us and the finals teams, and that's how Geelong beat the Swans

Prefer Carlisle - just as many intercepts and half the weight

Also doesn't look like when he retires he'll emulate Darren Jarman and become a blimp.

GWS have no fans I thought the game was being held in Perth
It isn't even a sell out ridiculous

Sure they do, only most of them don't live in NSW and those that do have dinners to attend with suits.

When "they" choose commentators do they actually listen to their voice? Ling's commentary is bad enough but his voice just grates...
And he talks sooo much!
