A knee when taking a screamer is far different to the non-spoiling arm wrapping around someone's neck, accidental or not, and clothes lining them... What's Wingard supposed to do, he running to mark the ball too. A defender comes in from the side, makes the spoil first, making high contact with THAT spoiling arm (that's fine by me - play on), but in the process his other arm comes through & wraps around his neck & clotheslines Wingard.... I say its easily a free kick

The problem is that Wingard tried to mark the ball like I do playing thirds footy and cops it high. If it was a genuine under the ball marking attempt I think the high contact was not incidental and a free is there. But what was Gibson supposed to do when Wingard dives in horizontally in what looks more like a smother then a mark?

My point about the screamer is that we place an inordinate issue around "getting them high" then are quite happy to have knees driven into the back of someones spine. Its not exactly consistent.

I guess Cyril has to be classed as elite cos when he gets plenty of It he is A-grade with skills and decision making.
But.......has there ever been an elite player who regualy gets so few possessions?
At half time he had had 4 touches.
Hes very good but he goes missing A LOT.

Shithouse act wasn't it! The angst & forceful purpose with which Hodge knew exactly what he was doing, you can read it on his face as he braced for the bump, knowing exactly where the post was....

I agree with 4 weeks, would love it to be 5 though to potentially wipe him out of all finals too, but probably only gonna get 1-2 weeks cos the AFL loves the campaigner

Some of the work Gray did in close, getting out a quick handball to set up the first link in play - was sublime - on numerous occasions.

He showed Sam Mitchell a few times how it was done.

He's my hope of what type of player Billings hopefully becomes.
