Dominated as a mid, broke his leg, came back and dominated as a forward. Wont head into the centre full time but will be used in the rotation for sure.

We would be crazy to not offer up huge money for Bontempelli or Mc Crae then. They are a second tall forward down still. Stringer and Crameri are mid sized really. I would rather mids now and hope Mc cartin, Lee and White end up a good combo.

If the Dogs pay Cameron 1mil + a year on top of Boyd they are insane.

They are front loading Boyd in a massive way because they know McRae, Bont, Stringer etc will all be demanding big cash.

If this is true they are literally building a list the exact opposite way teams like Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney, Fremantle, St Kilda and even the Dogs themselves have done previously. The Dogs are buying up big contracts before they actually have anything to show for it.

Much happier with our position - Get a core group together then buy a few players to fill holes once we are ready to challange.

In all seriousness though the top-ups have gone a long way to appeasing the blood lusting from AFL fans who are not affiliated with the tummy jabbers, as most see it is a proactive step in the face of impending suspensions.

How will we all feel though if the suspensions are say less than a month?

As good as Sheeds is, this is the Essendon equivalent of "Back to the Future", ala "Back to the Past." They are in the current, the future looks worse, so lets set the time machine to hark back to simpler times, when cheque book recruitment and player drugging were not assessed and monitored, so therefore never breached. Ahhhhh to those simpler times, when Essendon could literally do whatever it takes.

So what happens if after 4 weeks Jones is absolutely stinking it up and gets dropped . Does he play with Ess reserves or with Sandy
