Geez Carlton are average. Where's the shining light down there? Their recruiting of the last few years has been appalling and now they'll have to start their list clean out at the end of the year and start again.

Whereas sides like ourselves, dogs and GWS will be building on good performances to propel themselves up in the coming years, I can only see carlton going backwards.

And im not sure the nature of their fans will allow for a proper rebuild.

Not that im complaining of course.

Pick 22 18 year old Dan McKenzie played a better game (against the rampaging Bulldogs) than Pick 19 22 year old Blaine Boekhurst did against the the worst team in the league...
Bit harsh on Boekhurst - McKenzie is playing in a much better side

So many muppets on the Blues board saying they are tanking and that this is all part of the plan.

Honestly. Can they not accept that their club is out of control and they have NFI what to do?

I love hearing them blame the penalties from 2001 was it? Most of those careers would already be over and since they have had access to a lot of high picks. It's a sad old boys club that won't get any kind of innovation happening. They just still try to buy up anything that works for other teams. They only beat us from some ridiculously one sided umpiring getting them going.

Surely taking the piss? If not surely they would realise tanking is a major reason they're in this hole?

Jack Steven is second in the tackle count, Bruce is still top 5 in the coleman, Billy Longer is second for hitouts.

It's crazy to see so many saints dominating the stats.

Before this week against the Bulldogs, Lance Franklin and Josh Bruce were the only players to kick multiple goals every game.

Hawks board seems to suggest that when teams play man-on-man against Hawthorn, they struggle. Its what the Bombers did (Hawks lost), its what GWS did (Hawks lost).

Interestingly, their board alludes to Suckling, McEvoy, Breust as being the weakest links when the going gets tough. Doesnt surprise me, Suckling has always looked like a raging soft**** & if someone is forcing him to his right foot, he's as good as useless

I tend to think that the Hawks become somewhat of a rudderless ship when the brute generals, in Hodge, Lewis & Lake, are missing

Just a spoilt bunch of supporters who need something to vent about whenever they have a rare loss! Believe it or not Jordan Lewis used to be on that list as well, nek minnit All Australian and BnF winner in a premiership team. :D :D

Im very jealous of the Hawks success of course. But dont forget they made 7 grand finals in a row and just a few yrs later nearly merged with the Dees:eek:.
There supporters like winning but dont really hang tuff during the bad yrs .

So my 4 year old daughter has won the work tipping competition TWICE so far this year.

Last week, she picked the Giants over the Hawks, us over the Doggies, the Lions over the Blues.

As she went to get the Freddo when she came to my work the other day, she said, "I like winning prizes. I think I'll keep doing it. It's important to give out prizes because then everybody knows that you won."
