Gimme a win over Freo or the Swans please.... Just to give the kids a real taste & passion for what it's like to beat a real gun side

I'll take a win over any of our upcoming opposition, but it would nice personally if we beat Geelong to knock them out of finals so I could rub it in to my Dad, who's a Cats fan.

Doubt you'd see a worse non-decision for HTB than the tackle on Matt Rosa 30m out from Gold Coasts goals.... Would be paid 999 times out of 1000 & tonight must be that 1 time it wasn't

Disgraceful umpiring considering they'd just paid 2 HTB against GC in front of the Eagles goals

The Eagles are the umpires pets and always have been.

It was a howler, mightve cost the Suns 2 points, but what a round of footy so far, back to the upsets that dominsted the first couple of months.

Have any of you mugs gone and bought the merino wool guernsey?

$200 is steep, but my brother-in-law has the Melbourne one, and it's awesome...

Umpiring standard to poor again favouring the top team

Halfway thru 3rd quarter ....2 absolute howlers by umpires ( one a boundary ) cheats out on the full

All the players run the way of the Giants ...reversed it said other way Goal Freo way to go

Thought umpiring was actually good all the games last week , all top clubs whinged .

Really poor standard umpiring across all the games I have seen (5 )

Has Hird taken a break from advising Bronwyn Bishop about self-entitlement to enlighten us about how lucky Crameri was to kick 7?

Yeah, that's kind of my point.

The AFL media tell us we need to get rid of congestion to allow more scoring. The fans want it, the media want it. Everyone wants more scoring.

Last week we played Melbourne. The game had a total score of 129 points. People were calling it ugly, a mess, a mire, a bog etc and complaining about how hard it was to score.

Last night the Hawks and Tiges combined for a total of 124 points. A total LOWER than the "ugly" game we played last week BUT there were no complaints.

It was "fast" and "daring" and a "great tactical battle".

The reality is that the media are pushing for higher scoring games because goals = ad revenue.

It pisses me off that these people are trying to manipulate the direction of the game when they cant even handle the coverage for what we have now!
If it wasn't for the fact that the Hawks were getting beaten, this would have been labeled the most boring Friday night game since the last time Carlton played a Friday night game.

It might be the way to beat Hawthorn, if your foot skills are up to, but the continual chipping around the arc from the Tigers was boring as anything.

Heppell was -210 metres gained (or 210 metres lost) with his 34 disposals against the Dogs.

Not even Cotchin could boast such impressive numbers.

Edit: I got these numbers from Adam White's Twitter but the Daily Filth has Heppell with 210 metres gained and not lost.

Now he's suing his insurance company for not paying out costs of his ill advised law suit. lol

Poor old JimJam. It's sad that people just can't recognise his supreme intelligence, or are unable to contain their jealously about his magnificence.

He and Bronnie need to take another overseas holiday. A really, really long one. But this time mix it up a bit and pay for it themselves.

I could not believe that Hird thought his legal cover would include him taking action. He said the action was reasonable and he had advice from senior and junior counsel to that effect. The EFC ad the same advice. Pity the Federal Court and the Full Federal Court held a different opinion, with Hird's counsel saying he still had strong grounds of appeal to the High Court.

'Chubb had denied liability, in a letter dated April 12, 2015, to indemnify Hird for his trial and appeal costs on the grounds that the policy did not cover Hird for pursuing legal proceedings as a claimant; and his legal costs were not reasonably incurred.'
I could not have stated it better myself. Hird remains a fool, but is now a poor fool.

Essendon would be so much better off, if they cast Hird out. luckily I don't barrack for the bombers he is ruining their club.

Yes, but it's best for all other 17 teams if he's stays on... I'm loving it! :D :) :thumbsu:
