Saints are travelling better than half the teams in the Comp.

Geelong ...done
Melbourne ... Lost the idea of scoring
Essendon ...travelling on empty
Gold Coast ...not interested playing as a team for whole game.
Brisbane ....no depth..
Carlton.. Honeymoon over reality is they are no good.

And how well will Adelaide go for the rest of the year with what they've had to deal with?

Tom Boyd should not be playing he's clearly not ready for the big time. For his own development he should be playing VFL. It's like they're only playing him to justify the massive contract he's on. Just a side note as well: you rarely see him animated and celebrating his team mates goals. He only celebrates if he's directly involved/kicked it himself.

Yep it was a blessing they ended up with them and not us! He may still make it but so will Paddy who cares about his club and team mates!

I have a real worry about his mobility and you are correct, his development. Jack Watts is still suffering after being put to the sword by Melbourne, too young, too early.

Still as you say he still has time to be a very good FF, but he needs to be made accountable more than the average 19 year old because he accepted the HUGE contract. Therefore he has to play to a standard.

Freo would have to be the most unconvincing first placed team I've ever seen.
This whole year feels like that though.
Aside from West Coast no-one is really that impressive. If the Bulldogs are 6th then that says a lot about the standard of the competition this year.

Riccuto here has said the Crows players should just put Walsh's death aside after the funeral on Wednesday, "suck it up" and reach for finals, "because that's what we play for."

Thoughts? Responses?

The MRP gets a lot of things wrong, but in general, i'm a fan of the use of financial sanctions for relatively minor offences. The penalties last year were getting ridiculous and the last thing we want is players sitting out for the more accidental and unmalicious offences.

A bit insensitive if you ask me
Yeah, that was my thinking. Seemed a bit of a tool thing to say. He did say that losing games week in week out from here would only make them feel worse... not sure how I feel about that.

I would like to the know the medication Gerard Healey is on bordering Madness

1) Comments tonight Shaun Hampson has with his extraordinary form will get contract renewal
from Richmond or get offers from a number of clubs.

2) Think players should not be allowed to tackle and take the player to the ground , they should stand him
up and let him have hands free.

Just saw Christian Petracca down at Casey library doing reading sessions with some local school kids.

Was cool seeing a first year player out and about doing this sort of community stuff. No other players here so they obviously have plenty of trust in him.

The other thing I took from seeing him was his size. Im barely 6 foot and a good chunk on 100kgs and he looked half my size.

Obviously he would be all lean muscle but it's interesting seeing a "Big Bodied" kid up close and feeling like there's not much too him.

Petracca is listed as what - 186cm and about 90kgs. I remember meeting Jimmy Gwilt at the Saints BnF last year (188 and 95) and thinking he was gigantic!

Anyway that's my story for the day haha
