Essendon vs Port is a genuinely enjoyable game.

He's not the forward a lot of people think he is and think he will be. He's too robotic and lacks agility. Will still be a good player but not the dominant key forward the dogs recruited him for.
For an egotistical bloke (kid, whatever) to demand that type of contract to move clubs he deserves all the criticism he gets.
Are you sure it was 97 - 99? We were using the hotcross bun top during that time.Hi guys, wasn't sure where to ask this, thought here would be as good as anywhere. I've bought this old St Kilda guernsey that was made for someone wearing the number 54 sometime between 1997-99. I've been researching and I can't figure out who this jumper belonged to so I'm after your help! It would be someone who was either on some kind of trial or on the rookie list between 97-99 as no one who played a senior game wore the number. Would love some answers.

Only one St Kilda player has ever worn #54 and that Aldo Dipetta who played 5 games for us in 1990 and 1992.Hi guys, wasn't sure where to ask this, thought here would be as good as anywhere. Can hardly blame him for the contract tho, if another company came to you and said we'll pay a shitload of coin on a longer term contract to do exactly the same thing, would you turn it down. I sure as hell wouldn't. The fault lies with the Doggies for offering an unproven if highly rated 2nd year player that deal.
I'm laughing at the doggies, not Boyd, who in all likelihood, has probably deprived himself of a long term future in the AFL.
Yeah 99 would be it.Are you sure it was 97 - 99? We were using the hotcross bun top during that time.
*edit, We did use it as our away jumper though and that collar type combined with the old AFL logo means it would have to be 1999.
Definitely 1999, I have 1 framed with "Buckets" signature from 2000Yeah 99 would be it.
I wonder if anyone has a record or anything lying around that would have the reserves squad?
Nice!Definitely 1999, I have 1 framed with "Buckets" signature from 2000
Think you're right, I can't find any team lists from 1999Nice!
I'm thinking it was probably someone who played in the 1999 Reserves Grand Final loss to Essendon, the last ever AFL Reserves game.
Is anyone listening to ABC Grand stand?
Clearly a Cats fan on there. He reckons the Cats are a lock for Dangerfield and Henderson and wont have to give anything up to get them.
The Dogs wouldn't have got the contract figure out of their arse. Boyd's manager would've said 'We're after offers over x amount".
I certainly blame the Dogs but also Boyd's manager and Boyd himself believing his own hype that he's worth as much as Buddy Franklin.
How can you possibly blame Boyd or his manager?
Dogs committee 100% responsible for the decision to draft and the amount to pay
How? I explained it in the post you quoted. Boyd's manager and Boyd himself put an over inflated price on his head based off u18 footy. What a egotistical 19 year old. Ah well, he's brought pressure onto himself and the club. Just wait until the Bronx cheers begin.
Jeez the Duck is in some shocking form. He's defending Houli's putrid decision to kick it down the middle of the ground. Not as bad as his Mitchell call but right up there.
