I think next year the Bulldogs will tread water, or maybe even slip back a couple of places, due to a harder draw, and people being more prepared for their game plan. It won't mean that they still aren't on track though, they should still be a very good team.

At the same time, they seem to be a first half / first quarter team. They'll bust out in their first quarter and end up falling over or behind the line. Getting a pre season into kids will help as will the return of Liberatore. They've won similar number of quarters from the first to the fourth. But they've conceded ~140 points more in the final quarters than in the first across the season. This should improve with increased endurance.

I do feel a bit sorry for Richmond, but it's simultaneously pretty damn funny, the way they've crashed out in finals three years running now.
They are sort of in no man's land. Not quite good enough to win a premiership but at the same time they don't have that early draft pick to keep bringing quality in.

Watch out then.
Teasing a tiger backed into a corner is a dangerous proposition.

I just like to watch other people poke them with sticks. Not dumb enough to stick my own hand in there though!

You forgot Cotchin and Deledio as well. All had stinkers. The only one of their leaders who stood up was Jack.
I think it'll be a huge mistake if they sack Hardwick

What's his contract status?
End of 2016.
I think he's cooked, they'll make a decision to extend or terminate over the summer, and I can't see him getting an extension after today, as harsh as that is. Very rarely do clubs let a coach go into a season without security for the next, the media innuendo will kill the club every time they lose next season.

I don't, they and Melbourne have both had their supporter bases effectively plan to picket and protest their runnings as a club, this does not happen if you are a club worth a damn, and they aren't worth it, so anything these two clubs do that brings the lols or the shame I am all for as even Carlton and Essendon havent; stooped to these depths and they've been / going to be far more heavily reamed by all and sundry to deserve it.

North though, North...

Lindsay Thomas should never have any sort of medallion around his neck unless its for diving or stupidity, so I wish them the swiftest of exits. West Coast v Adelaide for mine would be the better GF.

I actually think the Tiges will be better each year as their youth recruiting is excellent. Conca, Lennon, Corey Ellis, Menadue, Vlastuin and Mc Bean are all looking very very good picks. They will be around for another few chances. The Roos are running it Saints style with heavy top ups every year and soon will fall off a cliff. The bulk of the Tiges are still pretty young with even guys like Delidio and Riewoldt still in their 20s.
