COLA FC can go and get stuffed. It's not enough that they had (and won premierships with) extra salary cap in a salary cap equalised sport (which is beyond ridiculous), they then had the audacity to sook relentlessly about being told they couldn't use it to poach more guns after a grand final year when the AFL is letting them phase it out.
And don't get me started on the 'academies'. Play in the GF but get pick 2 anyway?
Go and absolutely get stuffed Sydney.
Smash it North!
No other player I'd want the ball in the hands of (does that make sense?). Summed it up perfectly then executed the skill every time. Still love watching him.Congrats to one of my old faves Nick Dal Santo who will play game number 300 in next weeks Prelim final...![]()
Pretty sure Goodes is a pretty good bloke actually and deserved a better final year then this country gave him.
Well said.Pretty sure Goodes is a pretty good bloke actually and deserved a better final year then this country gave him.
Goodes bye and Goodes riddance!Nope - he's a flog IMO.
Goodes Riddance!!
yeah a pretty tough year getting booed and getting paid 500k for the trouble. I don't know about anyone else but I could handle that for that kind of money.Well said.

No, my point being that people have it a lot tougher than he does. Everybody and I mean everybody has their own issues to deal with one way or another. He was booed, so what. Plenty of players get booed. I'm not going around in circles debating all that again but to say plenty of players get booed.I don't think that's the deal.
So your sympathy is subjective to their pay packet. If he was getting paid $15 an hour, would you have more sympathy?
Do you think the money helps him deal with his situation?
What a lovely version of reality where all problems can be erased with cash.
You do realize that he, along with a lot of aboriginal kids, have been vilified most of their lives for being nothing more then aboriginal and now he is being villified on the football field by hundreds, if not thousands, of people for being aboriginal as he sees it.No, my point being that people have it a lot tougher than he does. Yep I noticed this too, he also took a few dives that would've antagonised the north fans.I thought it was really poor by commentators & journos since Saturday night to get stuck into the North Melbourne supporters for booing Adam Goodes. They do realise that Goodes wasnt booed until he KICKED Scott Thompson in the goal square right in front of the North Melbourne cheer squad.....
I said it a few times in this thread. Adam Goodes is not above being booed for a shit dog act he performs on field. No player is & nor they should be.
Of course, the AFL controls all football accredited media, so it's obvious it's a directive from the top that any booing directed at Goodes is to be condemned, regardless of what its for....
