I said it a few times in this thread. Adam Goodes is not above being booed for a shit dog act he performs on field. No player is & nor they should be.

Of course, the AFL controls all football accredited media, so it's obvious it's a directive from the top that any booing directed at Goodes is to be condemned, regardless of what its for....

But it's Goodes, it's racist, this is what Australia decided and it's why I buggered off to England for a time. The man could punch a kitten and if you glared in his direction people would still call you a racist such is his aura of being a dick and not getting called on it whilst maintaining your integrity.

2 goal umps & a restriction on forwards to combat the rolling zones that a side must have 2 players within 50m of the goals, with 1 being within 25m of the square.

Flankers around the side just sighed at their increased work load and worked collectively on their pyramid building since their vertical jump results weren't too flattering.

I don't think the booing is completely racially motivated, but you can't deny that people did boo him for that reason. And besides, if he's had to take leave from his profession for being bullied so much...why would you do it anyway.

I was similarly outraged until I realised it was the Sydney version. The West Coast version is AA Full Forward as he rightly should be.

Now the Sydney version missing out to Rioli...that's another discussion altogether!

Looking at the midfield I don't think there was a space for Armo in the team, but a spot in the 40 was definitely deserved.

Agree with your changes LWP.

Not saying there was anyone better, but are Rance, Hurley and 'Reverse Coleman' Gibson really the best performed key backs in the league? Maybe I'm getting old but it seems like a far cry from even 5 years ago when you had Scarlett, Lake, Rutten, Glass, prime Harry Taylor, McPharlin, Bolton, Hudghton just retired etc.
 
Sad that no Saint got in the team, but it pretty much showed that we didn't really get enough consistent performances out of our players during the year. Armo had a purple patch for a while where he was an influence on games, but he fell away and just became serviceable, and apart from that, I couldn't say any of our players really stood out, even though Steven won the B&F, he didn't set the world on fire compared to some of the better performing mids in the comp.

Armos 'purple patch' was more like half a season, just the wrong half to stick in the minds of AA selectors.
