KILLER David Richard Fraser has admitted strangling another gay lover to death in an act of erotic asphyxiation.
For a second time, Fraser, 36, has pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court part-way through a murder trial to killing his homosexual lover in a sex act gone wrong.

Before a jury yesterday, Fraser admitted murdering xxx, at his West Beach Unit in September, 2009.

At the time, Fraser was on parole for the manslaughter of another lover, xxx, whom he had strangled with shoelaces during a similar sex act in February 2005.

Part-way through the first murder trial in 2007, he had pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

A NEW mum found dead inside her home with her young baby had complained to police about a stalker named “The Reaper”. Wollongong.

A WOMAN who was killed inside her home had complained about a stalker who called himself the “reaper”, called her up to 100 times a day and left messages telling her to die.

A spokeswoman for NSW Police said a visitor discovered Kristie Powell dead inside her bedroom early this morning after suffering extensive injuries from a sharp object to the head and upper body. Police have now confirmed they are treating the death as a homicide.

A five-month-old baby boy was also discovered physically unharmed inside the home.

In chilling Facebook messages on Ms Powell’s Facebook page — in the months leading up to the grim discovery at her Wollongong home overnight — the 39-year-old said she stopped answering private phone calls because she had a stalker.

Kristie had a stalker she'd posted about over facebook prior to her death, called himself "The Reaper". Police say they have no record of Kristie making a complaint about the alleged stalking.

Disturbing Facebook posts reveal the mother found dead near her infant son in their NSW home had allegedly been stalked by a person she knew.

Kristie Powell’s body was found at her Bellambi property, north of Wollongong, by a friend about 1.10am.

"She's a 39-year-old lady, she lives alone there with a five-month-old son. The little boy was in the bedroom. He was uninjured and unharmed."

Ms Powell, who worked from home as a dog sitter, revealed in a Facebook reply to a friend in March she had concerns about a person.

“He became obsessed with me and for some reason he is still obsessed,” the 39-year-old wrote.

“He is mentally unwell and I have contacted police about him on a few occasions, but there is nothing they can really do as he is considered non-threatening.”

In the Facebook message, Ms Powell said the man wrote her messages, sometimes up to 100 a day, that say “Die Kristie Die”.

She claims he also referred to himself as the “Reaper”

Going to be very interesting to see further coverage of this case re: threatening online messages and whether they were reported and if police acted at all on them. I've said on this forum before that I'm beyond sick of cowards hiding behind their keyboards/phones and sending all manner of vitriol, harassment and threats out into the world. Online death threats and intimidation needs to be policed far harder than it is currently and the idea that someone could send another person up to 100 messages in a day saying "Die" in them and apparently not be seen as a risk is a real concern.

Drag marks of up to 30 meters were discovered near her body, which was covered in leaves and wrapped in an orange blanket.

Police say her hands were bound and her body was badly bruised but have not yet determined exactly how, or when she died.

"We need the help of the community.

DETECTIVES believe a travel card could provide key clues of the final movements of a popular Sydney woman whose bound and semi-naked body was found dumped near a playground.

Police have now discovered her Opal card and say she travelled in a huge loop around Sydney — stopping at Bondi Junction, St Marys, Strathfield, Central, Ashfield and Museum stations by train in the days before her death.

The last time she tapped off was at Museum station in the city’s CBD at 9.30pm on September 30, three days before she was found dead.

Police are now examining the movements carefully and hope they can provide a vital clue in solving the brutal murder.

Her sister-in-law Jackie Cartwright took to Facebook to reveal the murdered 32-year-old had deleted all of her social media accounts before she disappeared.

Justin Gatto has been found dead after falling off a balcony last night in Docklands. How awful.

The son of underworld identity Mick Gatto has reportedly died after falling from a Melbourne CBD apartment overnight.

The 34-year-old from Docklands was found dead just after midnight, police confirmed on Tuesday, with the Herald Sun later naming him as Justin Gatto.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and police are preparing a report for the coroner.

A BRISBANE woman has been jailed for killing her rapist after he threatened to harm her daughter unless she submitted to more sex, but will be eligible for parole in less than two years.

Roxanne Eka Peters, 35, fatally stabbed Grant Jason Cassar, 51, with a blow to his heart using a kitchen knife at her home in Capalaba in December 2015. Then she tied a rope around his body, including his neck, and dragged it behind her car for about a kilometre to a ditch where she hid it.

In the Brisbane Supreme Court on Monday, Peters was sentenced to nine years in jail for manslaughter and a further 18 months after she pleaded guilty to interfering with a corpse.

With time served she will be eligible for parole in June 2020. Justice David Boddice told the court Mr Cassar’s rape and humiliation of Peters, followed by the threats to harm her child, had been a “significant provocation”.

“I accept the stabbing occurred in circumstances when you were enraged by what the deceased had done to you and was threatening to do to you again,” he said.

It was, however, to Peters’ detriment that she didn’t immediately seek help after the stabbing, he said.

“Instead you set about the process of callously disposing of the deceased body,” he said.

He said Peters had shown no respect for Mr Cassar’s human dignity.

“No doubt your rage continued to affect your attitude to him,” Justice Boddice said.

Justice Boddice said Peters’ upbringing around drug users, where she was subjected to sexual abuse, had acerbated the rage she felt when Mr Cassar came to her home on the day he died.



Not sure I understand the kind of rage that hooks a body up to a car and drags it through the streets.

She'll be Queen Bee in prison. Would have likely got off completely if she hadn't towed him down the main street of Capalaba ISIS style, I mean it's Queensland not Gaza. But they could have let her off for having the chutzpah to drag him straight past the police station and showing them up for not noticing a thing.

Putting to one side the 'colourful' nature of Gatto seniors life, his eldest led a troubled life. Sad the attempts at treatment failed.

It is sad. Justin was also possibly a bit of a target. There was a time he collapsed in one of the strip clubs, overdose but given who he'd sat down with the suspicion was his drink had been spiked. He was alright when he walked in.

I don't think it's easy for these kids.

He had a long battle with a mental illness which sometimes responds to treatment, but not always.
