NVIDIA brought back PhysX support for a bunch of 32-bit games for the 50-series today

Turns out the next TW game will return to a historical setting. I love these games but don't like the Warhammer etc ones. Rome 2 with the DEI mod is the last great TW game IMO so I welcome a return with Medieval 3. Deus Vult.Star Wars: Total War is a perennial rumour too, and:

I love the Warhammer ones. So much cheaper and requires zero painting skills compared to the tabletop game

Apparently they have different teams for the fantasy TW games and the historical ones. If that's true then I'd like to know WTF the historical team have been doing since Rome 2 lol. And no Three Kingdoms and Pharoah don't count.
I had the OG Medieval Total War back in the day, but it ran like arse on my PC at the time and I never really went back to it. It was the disc version too which they never updated to run on Windows 10 anyway (unlike the Steam version). Not sure what happened to it, I think I just gave it away,
I have Empire Total War and the three Warhammers.
In other news, Borderlands 2 runs so much better now that they've enabled PhysX. I thought I was just shit at it and that it was a poorly optimised mess (look, both are probably still true...) but I dunno, I cranked PhysX up to maximum and as I hoped and expected, my 5080 just smashes it. Runs beautifully and my skill has improved with the smoother running game. I don't want to call NVIDIA good guys but they listened here and opened up my back catalogue again. Been on my pile of shame since forever, getting right into it again. Loved the original back in the day. Hopefully by the time I get to 4 that will run as well as it ever will too
EDIT: I also seem to have Shogun 2 but I don't remember buying it? Must have nabbed it up for free at some point!

I could probably make a TW Medieval 3 thread to keep posting stuff, but CA have posted their vision for the game. The game sounds very early into production so it will be telling if all of this makes it to the final game but it's sounding like some lite CK3 elements mixed with traditional TW. That will really tickle my pickle.
