First lockdown I did really well, not so much strength but definitely increased endurance. This time I'm just maintaining, taken things a bit easier. Things in the headspace aren't as good atm personally so I'm wanting to relax more in my downtime and don't particularly want to train
All the best bro. Keep strong and hopefully in a few weeks, gyms can reopen.

My breathing on back and leg days stinks

No problems doing push exercises or cardio though, breathing is probably the most crucial thing on a run to maintain, always made sure to do so early on to get a good pattern going

Yep, I hear ya. Home gym is ok, but I need some decent leg workouts.

Yesterday evening for the first time I did a 1 hour high intensity Pilates class and after 30 minutes break 90 minutes of Hot Yoga, drank 3 litres of salt/lemon/honey mix during and woke a few times during the night for a drink, still a bit dry today.... I'm going to give my Yoga class this morning a miss and go for a walk instead.

The topic of incidental physical activity came up in another thread a week(ish) ago.
We're covering this atm in our cardio block so good timing.

MET-hr/wk is basically a metric to measure the amount of physical activity above your resting metabolic rate you perform over a given week.
For reference a 30 MET-hr/wk is the equivalent of walking at 5.5km/h for 9 hours, or 8km/h for 4 hours (average human walking speed is about 5km/h).

And the main mechanism by which exercise increases lifespan is reducing low grade inflammation which contributes to just about every major pathology you can think of (diabetes, heart failure, cancer, COPD etc)

Today's Joe Rogan Podcast, as usual Joe does a fantastic job in this interview, I'm not a Carnivore(moderate LCHF for me) but this guy is great, 3 hours long but well worth the time >

“I started crying because I was scared. At that moment I couldn’t feel my legs, so I knew it was very severe.”

Been Carnivore for a year now. Saladino and Dr Shawn Baker have a lot of great info, stories and science backing it up. Helped me to overcome my seborrheic dermatitis and bloating. Was strict keto before then. I find that I recover from lifting better and require less sleep (higher quality sleep though).
