you'd think he'd be backup for Gawn, Omac and Frost as well.

Whos this classy Outside Mid that Jake Niall from the age thinks we need?

    Shuey, Yeo?

(Just to clarify, was Tom Scully the outside Mid we needed)

I’m not watching but have the scores up. For me, this is where all that talk of how much they hurt last season comes in. If they bury the saints by 60+ then they’re hungry. If not, same old Melbourne just having fun.

They flipped off and did some interesting things in the midfield Q3 - didn't see Clarry in there at all.

And they were screwing around with the backline too. Oscar had come off, and I think Frost as well. So it was Lever and Wagner playing key position defenders.

What's exciting is how young our primary midfield is. Tyson is the oldest at 24, most others are 23-22...Oliver doesn't turn 21 for several months yet. Compare that to the Saints who have a few 27-29 year olds in Steven, Savage, and Armitage + consider Richmond and the Crows, who are also led by an older brigade in Martin, Cotchin, Edwards, Sloane, McKay, and Douglas. Imagine how much more we're going to improve when our current mids peak in a few years if we manage to keep the talent coming in through the draft. ATM we're shaping a lot like the 2016 Bulldogs with Jones, Lewis, and Vince supporting our young midfield off half back like Boyd (although they had Picken in and around the guts a bit more than I reckon Jones will be)

Also random trivia: the three mids we drafted in 2014, Petracca, Brayshaw, and ANB, were born within 5 days of each other (Jan 4, 6, and 9, 1996).

Is anyone else annoyed by how much money they're going to waste on tickets, etc, this year when a Dees premiership is inevitable? Just give us the flag now ffs and we can spend it all on the celebratory piss-up instead

Oh yeah we are desperate for a classy outside mid, Gaff Kelly Cameron Wingard Merrett Motlop etc have all delivered their sides multiple premierships. Having big tough inside midfielders has never worked and frankly Hodge Lewis Sewell Mitchell Kelly Bartel Corey Kennedy Parker Bolton Hannebury Jack Mcveigh etc have been passengers in finals with their lack of speed.
