The passage of play in the 3rd quarter where Bernie collided with Parfit is one of the best passages of play I’ve ever seen. Bernie knew he was going to get hit when he took possession of the ball but instead of trying to avoid it he just accelerated st him. I love Bernie. He’s just a bold dude, can imagine him being first out of the trench.
Bit of a team lifter too I reckon .

The club needs to hire a technical key defensive coach, like Leppa who worked with Rance before he turned into an elite defender. Troy Chaplin has the backline playing a specific brand of football which I think will go far, but it needs at least one tall player with strong 1v1 skill and he’s clearly done nothing to help TMac, Frost, or Lever in that regard, and very little for Oscar. Harrison Petty has a lot of potential too - thank **** the club picked him up. Will be an important player in a few years I reckon.

Isn't Chaplin forward coach and Plapp defensive coach?

He did exactly what I felt like I wanted to do from the comfort of my own coach after Jettas terrible kick.
Not enough credit. I thought he was more than decent value on the weekend.

Thought he was reasonably good as well. Played like someone who knows they need to play well for a game next week and a contract next year. Lewis on the other hand played like someone who knows they have a contract sorted for next year already.

Collingwood, surely?

My highlight of QB last year was Bugg winning a dodgy free kick, and a guy having a crack at him for not having an H in his name after the T.

Believe it or not Collingwood have nothing on West Coast supporters. Was there for the win last year. Was a horrible experience apart from being able to rub it in their faces at the conclusion.

So Richmond are in some what the same position we were in against Geelong.

Only they dont have a half they only have 1Q.
I would dare say melb are tighter in the defence than Rich.

The fact we only conceeded what like 17 points in an entire second half V geelong says that we should be more efficient defensively and on the Rebound (with the run of Hunt, Lever, Pig)

Warney's IPL team!
Lesson to learn from the current game. Must control the ball well by foot next week, the skills have been terrible today from both sides but North have been a lot better by foot in the second half.

Casey destroyed Frankston in a practice match today, hard to take much out of that given Frankston are no good, but Kent kicked 4 and dominated, apparently Frost was quite good too.

Looking forward to the VFL starting properly... I want our reserves playing every week to put pressure on for selection.

2 games into Lever's career and he's doing nothing to make our team better, and we gave up 2 first round picks to get him.

I'm not saying he is a bad player, I just don't think we needed him to get better.

you dont go out and spend 2 first round picks on a player and expect him to do what he cant.He got towelled up when Talia wasnt playing ******* stupid to give that much up if not gonna play a second tall defender

Technically wouldn’t it be “TOE-MAS”?
Would’ve like to have had that conversation with that Collingwood gentleman.

I was wondering where I’d heard this story before and then I remembered that we’re mates

article on AFL site bout how bad Levers one on one is(4th worst in AFL) and intercept defenders being dead and us not helping him with only playing Oscar. obviously every team should try hit up whoever is playing on loose checking defender
