So you’ll be following our fortunes today via the game day thread? Sound strategy. I’m going to watch it live and, God forbid, if Norf roll us for the 18th consecutive time it’s going to be tough to endure.
I’m away camping at the moment, so I’m going to the local RSL to watch the game ... if things aren’t going well, it’s a fair chance I’ll be asked to leave by half time

On a 14 hr drive from one side of Canada back to the middle so have a lot of thinking time.

Here's who I think are either in form, holding or down on form on our list. (^,-,v)

1. Hogan ^
2. Jones -
3. Salem v
4. Harmes v
5. Trac ^
6. Lewis -
7. Viney -
8. Lever v
10. Brayshaw v
11. Gawn ^
12. Tyson -
13. Oliver ^
14. Hibberd v
15. Stretch v
16. Kent -
17. Frost -
18. Melk v
19. Hannan v
21. Pedo -
23. Vince -
25. TMac ?
28. Omac ^
29. Hunt v
30. Anb v
31. Fritsch -
32. Bugg -
36. Garlett ^
39. Jetta v
42. Wagner -

So by my reckoning we only have 6 players who could say they are in form or playing their best footy.

Also some very important players down or injured.
You can either choose to be worried about that or recognize that we also have massive upside through the list especially with our half forwards and backs.

I also worry that atm all it would take is Hogan and Oliver to have a bad game against North and we lose.
Good summary, agree completely. In our first two games this year we’ve been carried by 5-6 guys and the rest haven’t looked great. I do believe long term over the season there is a lot of upside.

Geez this is good.

After 60 odd thousand at cats game and then this I think the Melbourne crowds are coming alive.
This is my one knock on Peter Jackson, the only knock really. He constantly talks us down as a bit of a david compared to other clubs goliaths, and maybe he's just being pragmatic, but there is no denying our crowds are growing, and the buzz players like petracca, hogan and gawn are getting is making us more noticeable with the public. I think this club has a huge potential to grow enormously and fairly quickly.

I reckon put us in with a real sniff at finals and you'll start to see 60k+ at the G against most Melbourne opponents. We were pulling that in the mid-2000s.

We're never going to drag in those numbers against GC/GWS/Freo in Melbourne, but that's because there's literally no oppo to drag in. Hell, rd1 against the Suns last year got 28k through the door.
