I have no stats to back this up, but I think Dogs and Cats will both beat us; just the way the AFL wheel turns, they'll both have a point to prove after we disposed of them last time we played.

But, in good news i think that works to our favour, as we will have a point to prove if/ when we meet them again in finals :rainbow: :)

I think the dogs have looked vulnerable in the games they've played where its been greasy (bar the west coast witches hats) and you can force their mids to overpossess the ball a bit. Saturday night is forecast to be cold and rainy again.

Sydney did it incredibly well 2 weeks back, GCS actually did it at times well on Saturday too. Obviously we did it well 2 months back.

Its easier said than done, because if you get it wrong they'll get the ball out to Smith, Duryea, hunter, MacRae etc.

We've bounced back from poor performances well all year, and I anticipate we will again.

Lose to Cats in the last round and we may have to face them again in week 1 finals, at the Cattery and then again in the GF at the G;)

No finals in their pissant stadium surely if there is an option.

I remember reading Mazzy Star performed at the Sydney Opera House with no lights on.
Wouldn't surprise me. I saw Hope from Mazzy Star play at the forum, only lights were from a single film projector. About 3 songs in she had a meltdown and left the stage for 40 minutes.

Bit of a weird gig. Still amazing though.

Also worth pointing out that Fritsch is the only player to nail a set shot in the final quarter of our last 3 shockers. Goes to show how feeble minded some of our players are when the pressure is really on.
Saw the highlights of North v Essendon, seemed like a bunch of clutch goals on both sides in the last kwarter.
And those teams are full of spuds :/

If the AFL won't let them play Richmond at ABCXYZ stadium during the regular season with no crowds, there's no way they'll let a final be played there v. Victorian opposition, even with no crowds.

Something something Ben Brown ;)

Nah honestly do we even kick to 1 on 1s? It's always a bomb kick to the pocket
Are they saying a 1 on 1 marking contest?

It was on Montagna and Kingy’s Watchlist segment which is one of the better segments of the 360 week. King took the view a lack of key fwd will cost us in a prelim or GF type game. He’s on Geelong lately.

Montagna was more optimistic on us, highlighted our game plan was still stacking up and bad goal kicking cost us wins vs GWS and Hawks if you look at expected score (comp avg goal kicking). Interestingly he highlighted the dogs were still vulnerable in defence, 18th for scores per D50 entry over last 5 weeks. Also said the dogs were -11 to GC on expected score but our draw is drawing all the doubt.

Bad kicking is bad football but his point was we generated enough chances to beat both GWS and Hawthorn.

It's kinda ****ed because you can analyze it to within a inch of its life ( and I do) but a bad prelim can ruin your whole season even if you had the best season/ gameplan etc.

They are very, very hard to win. Finishing top 4 will give us a better than average chance but we really need to be amongst the best 4 teams for 3-4 seasons. A drop off next year would be unacceptable with our window open.

Montagnas analysis is excellent but our goalkicking has been so bad this year I don’t expect it to suddenly improve. Has already cost us 10 points (Crows, GWS, Hawks).
