Saw a drone flying round in Sydney telling people to disperse the other day. It was like out of a sci-fi film from 20 years ago where you said that will never happen.

That was the only bit of lockdown last year that I kind of liked. I had a nice surveillance drone come visit me every other day - I would enjoy a nice beer in the yard each afternoon (just to get out of the house and mix things up) and wave at the drone circling around. I think it was actually in the area because there were a couple of construction projects continuing down the road and it was monitoring restrictions of workers on site, but it felt friendly coming to say hi so regularly.

A talking drone would be awesome. The guns and grenades maybe less so, but I do enjoy the bad retro sci-fi aspects of the whole thing. Takes me back to watching Dr Who as a kid.This one was actually talking, had a speaker on it. Machine gun mounts to follow I assume.

You reminded me of that story where someone took their drone to a medieval festival and some bloke got pissed off and threw a javelin at it.
The following year someone even made a tapestry to commemorate.
