Related info 2 - Adrian from The Deebrief making noises about getting a job and ending the pod.
Related info 3 - Tim hasn’t done a post GF pod on Attention to Deetail but this may be due to over-celebration.
Big thanks to all these people who provided content for nuffies like me for whom too much Dee chat is never enough.
Think this just leaves the D’Land Pod which as I have mentioned before has been excellent this year. Oh and Gus and Gawny of course.
May be an opportunity going forward to fill a Pod hole.

Maybe it’s just me but there seemed to be an amazingly high number of podcasts with Dees content. Not complaining though. I’m a bit of a podcast nuffy in general, there’s a podcast called The Worst Idea in the World where two friends watch the same shit movie like Grownups 2 every week - in the interests of filling the void maybe we could get a podcast up called The Best Idea in the World where the 2021 Grand Final is watched and discussed on a weekly basis?

On a personal note, I went to school in Moonee Ponds from the mid to late 90s. Probably 90% of the school were Essendon supporters. fu** I hated their cocky, arrogant arses. We won about 2 games against them in a decade and they won two flags.

Fast forward, 20 odd years later and I’m working in a primary school, a few weeks back these Essendon supporting kids were teasing another kid (Bulldogs fan) because 2M Peter went HAM on them. I more or less told them to shut up and that Essendon haven’t won a final since before they were born. That’s still the case and now we’ve won the bloody premiership. Can’t wait for Term 4 .

Not only have both Bulldogs and Melbourne have won premierships since these kids were born both have won finals which essendon haven't even achieved that. How the world is so much different from 30 years ago. At least in the 90s I saw Melbourne make finals and win a few.

A little story I remember from grade 6 which was 1998. My mate said just after North won the pre season "we're going to win the premiership" I really hope 12 year old him gave shit to him when Adelaide rolled them.

Getting way ahead of myself here, but I can't help it. Going to ride this wave of belief for a while.

2007 Geelong is a well known story. Team loaded with high-end talent that had underperformed in the previous years, and had a coach that was on the cusp of being sacked. The team reset, they matured, and fringe stars like Ablett started to take the game seriously. They finished as minor premiers, and had two 100+ point finals wins on their way to the flag.

Can't help but see a lot of similarities with journey of 2021 Melbourne.

The composition of the teams was similar too, despite a very different game being played today. Two rucks (Ottens and King). A dominant midfield including two top-10 players (Ablett and Bartel). No dominant key forward - Mooney was good but far from the best in the comp.

The next year, their self belief was ridiculous. IMO Geelong were the greatest of the recent dynasty teams, on their best day it was unfair how well they could score and defend. They should've won 2008 and it's a shame they didn't. It would've been one of the greatest seasons of all time. 21-1 in the regular season and navigated the finals with ease until they kicked their way out of the flag on Grand Final day.

Richmond supporters were saying similar things midway through 2017. Turns out they were right Richmond completely dominated the year after and also choked. I agree Geelong dynasty is the greatest that team was irresistible. I'm not justifying the 186 points but that day they could smell blood and played perfect football. I still have images of Hunt ragdolling Dunn and Chris Scott telling him to cool his jets with a smirk on his face because he understood the killer instinct. Anyway it's hard not to be excited about the coming years.

A 22-year old male who was part of the group - not Jackson - was issued a move-on notice and the group quickly dispersed without incident.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest any wrongdoing on Jackson's part.

On the same, or maybe a different note, I'm not really sure - I have to be honest...I'm a bit disappointed in his and Jones' reactions to our win. Understand the personal disappointment at missing out, but they've come across as pretty bitter. Jonesy in particular - haven't seen a thing from him aside from that picture of them on FaceTime. And Gawn came out and said they were just happy he'd picked up the phone.
