These stats always feel a bit naff. The variance in averages end up being so small but a list and a best 22 are very different things. Like the core of Geelong's premiership team is probably an average age of 30 but looking at these stats you'd think their list could go on for at least half a decade.

Like the core of Geelong's premiership team is probably an average age of 30 but looking at these stats you'd think their list could go on for at least half a decade.
Really all that matters is how old are ya best 10 players.
If the majority are 25+ you should be challenging for top 4.
If you're best 10 are majority under 25 then you're still building. The rest doesn't mean s**t

Hawthorn reminds me of melbourne circa 2009 based on those numbers, I reckon they are in for a few years of pain.
